Accuracy of Stock Boost Gauge?
Did a quick search but didn't see much - has anyone checked the stock boost gauge vs a calibrated instrument (not just on a dyno)?

I find the stock gauge to be pretty vague. Too bad they didn't provide a digital one where we'd have some idea what we're looking at boost wise.

I'm always hanging on to dear life to glance to see what it reads. HP tunes says 18 to 19. guess i need to video it while doing a pull.

I’ve got a digital one in my Tacoma with a trd blower and it was handy at 6500’ to see gains/losses with exhaust mods and smaller pullies and to see the change in boost when going to lower elevations.

Accurate Boost Reading
Get a Banks Supergauge for an accurate reading for boost and more.

Can you tell me more about this gauge? I will take a look at the website, but are they worth purchasing and do they give you the correct data? Where did you mount yours?

My first problem is with the gradations on the gauge face itself. Is it Logrhythmic? It's not clear to me what each mark indicates. Digital would be soo much better.

It is linear, not logarithmic, ranging between max vacuum (-15 psi) and max boost (15 psi) limits. Not the easiest to read design for sure, the battery gauge is the same with its weird tick spans.

Is there a way for boost to show on the HUD?

Nope, at least not with the 2018 and before. I haven't seen a 2020 or '21 ZL1 HUD yet.
