Center Dash display not working

Yesterday I starting driving my ZLE from Los Angeles to TX. after 4 hours of driving I pulled off at a rest stop. when I started up the car again the display does not work. there is light static coming over the speakers, and none of the buttons on the display unit or the steering wheel will change volume or station. The reverse camera sill works though. I unplugged the battery for about 5 minutes but there was no change.

any ideas?

Is the battery is original I would start by putting in a new one.

I presume we are talking about the center console radio/nav display HMI, not the gauge cluster. If all other car functions are normal, then it may not be the battery.

Sometimes the plug from the harness to the radio/nav module comes loose, or a pin can be loose. Module is in the front pass footwell under the dash.

Could also be a fuse. Possibly F55 in the trunk. https://fuse-box.info/chevrolet/chev...ses-and-relays

I checked all the wiring, no change. I disconnected the battery for 20 minutes and I pulled the display and wiggled wiring, but nothing happened. removed the dash access panel and wiggled all the wiring in the radio / HMI module area with no change either.

I ordered a battery today that will arrive in a few days.

Tomorrow I am going to hook up my MDI to the car to see if I can reprogram the display since I still have and active subscription for the car. Otherwise I will have to take it to the stealership.

Here's your opportunity to get a front camera setup. Since you're buying a new HMI anyway, you might as well save your splitter and make parking easier: https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/...ckage-8-screen

Looks like GM is wanting $900 for an IO6 hmi.
That's outrageous.

This was one of the first ZLE's made, I only have powertrain left.

I remember when the 6th gen came out - I was one of the guys saying it was a mistake.
once the ZLE came out - it was all I could thinkk about; I NEEDED TO BUY IT.
I started scouring the country and at the time the closest one for sale that was not white or already sold was 2500 miles away in chicago. I bought it sight unseen; I did not even see it in person until 3 weeks later in sept of 17'.

for a production car on a road course - you cannot deny the performance.
