From my small claims court experience...

Even though it is small claims court, it is still court and unless you know your way around all the proceedings you will be at a severe disadvantage if you try to represent yourself.

Most states don't allow lawyers in small claims court and require you to represent yourself.

Very true. I will represent myself. In addition, I reported their a$$ to both the better business bureau and the attorney general of Texas. I'm also going to post even more negative reviews on other websites and forums. My goal is to destroy any creditability they have business-wise. The A-HOLE emails me back stating that I pressure washed my car, which is why it looks that away. Their trying to avoid responsibility for their actions. It is simply not true. I only lightly rinsed my car off on a low current of water from my garden hose. to get some light dust and debris off the car before I returned my car back to their shop to work on. You can lightly hose off a car a couple of days later after it has been painted. Every paint company does it before it is returned back to said customer. The last I checked rinsing and washing are two different definitions. You can not pressure wash a car for two weeks at a car wash. In fact, I tested the idiot's knowledge base when I returned my car back the second time. I asked Ronald when is it was safe to wash my car after it has been painted. The idiot's response was ANYTIME! I knew he was full of it at that point. I've had two other cars painted in the past. You never pressure wash them after they've been painted. You must wait two or three weeks. That is the best practice to go by. Roland's paint & body is full of dust and debris. I also continue to email all the negative reviews to both the BBB and the AG of Texas. I also reported that his shop may be breaking federal and state environmental laws by not having a proper paint enclosure booth. If I can make any kind of impact on their business. That is my goal.

Having credible evidence is key to winning any case. I also have the back and forth email chat logs that I managed to screenshot capture.

I did not know that.

In Ohio you can have one.

Do you have anything in writing from the paint shop - contract, warranty, anything to show the court that the contractor did not perform the work that was agreed to?

Sorry, but if you have the time & money to sue, you would have had enough time to do some research. I wouldn't let that place paint a bicycle.

Better Business Bureau is worthless, so is calling a TV Station or Sueing.

Call it a Day and say lesson learned!

What color would you want the bicycle?

Yes, I have a shop invoice. I also have a front bumper invoice. Here's a copy of the paint shop invoice. What do you think? The idiot wrote 2010 instead of 2011 I was also never charged local state sales tax.

Let me get this straight....

Purchase + Remove/Install Bumper, grille, grille panel and fog lights.

Prep, prime and paint bumper, 2 fenders, plus have doors blended in (Why? I do not know....).

New stripes installed/painted on bumper.

All for 1K?

And you do not understand why it looks like dog feces?

Seriously?

Yup his is the exact thing that I was thinking. I had $800 alone in just having a front bumper painted on mine! Not sure where he’s located but here in Ohio in small claims court they don’t enforce the judgment. You have to take it back to court in order for that to happen which usually exceeds the monies awarded in the small claims court 😝
