From my understanding, there have been zero allocations given to Canadian orders to date.

Well, I am okay with receiving it next year. All I care is that it will get built and my dealer will get an allocation.

So I got an update from the dealer and GM saying the order is accepted but has not been picked up by production. I have no production date. Dealer tells me they have an allocation for it but it's likely I might not see it until next spring / summer. They have a 21 White ZL1 convertible coming in the next week or 2 so I grabbed it just in case its forever before i see the blue one. I will sell or trade the white one once the blue one arrives or maybe the white will grow on me and I'll keep it. lol This waiting drives a guy crazy.

You won't be getting a ZLE at all this year

Call and ask the 2 biggest dealers in Ontario for camaro's and ask the wait time for a zle. was 18-24 months for me and that was also not a guarantee.

Morning,

Any idea on when the Canadian Chevrolet Site will update with the 2022 Camaro configuration/build and price options?

The USA site is already up and running for 2022 configurations.

I am having getting any order information from my dealer (Surgenor in Ottawa) who have otherwise been excellent to deal with. Any tips on getting order info? I ordered a 2SS 1LE on 6/25 and they said the order was placed but won't give me more details.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy,

I haven't ordered yet, but my research indicates that your dealership should be more than happy to give you a copy of the 'Order Workbench, Preliminary Order Detail - Order #' page (it may or may not have the invoice price listed, most likely it will not).

This will also show you at Status 1100 and likely at Order Type: SRE (retail sold order for custom orders).

You should also ask for a copy of the 'Customer View' GM Connect Global 'Configure a New Vehicle: Summary' pages. These pages allow you to confirm what in fact you've ordered along with providing you with MSRP (with and without Freight charges).

If you already have one or both of these docs, it is my understanding that your dealer likely won't call you or let you know about a status change until they get an allocation and give it to you (you would then go to Status 2000 and maybe even right to Status 3000).

If you haven't yet, I'd ask them where in fact you are in their 'queue' for 2022 Camaro orders. Also, if the dealer is too small, they might not get too many allocations.

One strategy I've read about is to put refundable deposits at 2 or 3 dealerships in order to increase your chance of getting an allocation. Get it in writing that it's 'refundable' for any reason. When you do get a call and it you get an allocation and your order gets to Status 2000 (passing any possible constraint issues) then you cancel your order(s) at the other dealership(s). Which dealer is the largest Camaro/Vette dealer in your area?

However, it is also my understanding that GM customer service (via Chat messaging) can also provide Status updates. ??

It might be days or months before they get an allocation and therefore get you to Status 2000/3000.

For me, I'm not looking to take delivery until April anyway - no need to get it just to store it over the winter. So, I'm thinking it would be best to get an allocation and then get to Status 3000 and then, whatever, when it gets here it gets here.

Good luck!

Yep, best to get in line for an allocation at a dealer and wait
