Just ordered a 2023 Camaro from Don Mealey Chevrolet in Clermont, FL. It was a quick and easy experience with my salesman Joe Perez. He said I'll be getting an email from their General Manager whenever the build status changes on my order and that they expect it to hit 2000 status in 3-4 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Just placed my order last week at Riverside Chevrolet in White oak PA

I was told before we started everything they needed $500 deposit for the order.
They also appraised my Tacoma and ran my credit and then they said ok we are good to go and never asked for the money.
Not sure if that is just something they say to weed out someone not serious or since my Tacoma is worth alot or my credit is good. Not unhappy as I dont feel money should be needed to order a car that they could sell in a week if the buyer backs out.

I have one of my orders with Jim Shorkey in the Pittsburgh area and they just wanted my credit card info on file but wouldn't actually charge it. So for they kept their word, got my order sheet and see no charges on my card.

HAHA I have my Bronco order with Jim Shorkey Ford. they are right down the street from me.
They never took a down payment from me when I made that order either. I didnt give them anything. No CC on file or anything.
I kinda feel bad I am walking away from the Bronco for the sales guy but he will probably sell it in 2days. Just after 4months and I dont even have a VIN it gave me to much time to realize I dont want a 4x4 anymore

I used the Chevy chat, and this is what they told me about my 2023 1SS order….

“Your vehicle order has been accepted by Chevrolet and the target production week is 07/25/2022. This date is subject to change.”

Any idea how long it usually takes to get the car after its TPW? (If that is in fact the week it ends up being I mean) I’ve never ordered a vehicle before so this is all new to me.

I called my dealer and my order is at 3000, with TPW of 4 July was moved from 20 June

New to this board just found a dealer with allocation for a convertible canceled the one I had ordered 3 weeks ago with another dealer and waiting for the constraint list on Thursday to finalize and push through. Well let's hope this 2023 Camaro goes better than my 2022 Tahoe did....

It's going to depend on where you are located, transit times are longer this year. Mine had a TPW of 1/31, built on 2/8 and was at the dealer on 2/16. But my dealer was in Michigan, an hour from the factory. If it has to go on the train, it could take a couple weeks in transit.

Thanks for sharing your experience. My current Camaro said it came from Lansing MI, so just under 5 hour drive from me in central Indiana.

My other order is with Sun Chevy, both are still at 1100 status waiting for GM to accept. So just going to see who gets the allocation first.

ugh! dates are getting pushed. at least with a 3000 we should take delivery this year

2 weeks back is ok, could go forward. If it stays as is, I anticipate taking delivery in September.

Still sitting at 1100 waiting to be accepted by GM?

I figured Sun being the old yenko dealership, maybe they get more allocations. Either way I got two placed so we'll see.
