I did shift the car with the paddles on one pass and as the needle swept briskly toward the 6500 mark and the stripes approached I found I would have fallen short and grabbed a fistful of 5th lol.

Holding 4th cost me a couple tenths and mph the 3 times I tried it. You hit the limiter and the car noses over. Looking at my logs, at 6,500rpm I am at 111-112mph in 4th. From the time I execute the shift I am in 5th for right at 1.637 sec before crossing the traps at 116+ on that pass. If you are trapping over 112 holding 4th is only going to cost you time and mph. I guess you could extend the rev limiter to 7K but the car will nose over either way. I am not sure 7K would carry you out either.

Not for nothing but looking at your sig there is more ET left in that MPH. Easy tenth left in the 60' alone

Are you using a stock tire ?

Yes I am. How tall are the tires you are using? I know you are not on the stockers. I think you would have to use a 28" tall tire to be able to hold 4th through the traps on a 120mph car. I would have to do the math. But using a 28" tall tire is only going to hurt you at the track until you have enough power to actually use it as an advantage. I can't see a N/A car of any sort ever needing that tall of a tire.

I've already done the math bro, check my thread Rev on the Redline here in the drag section.

Cool, I will check it out. I was just pulling up my calculators. Thanks.

I though I remember you saying that holding 4th did cost you at the end of the run since you hit the limiter?

I have used the chart you listed in the other thread but the tire diameter listed for stock is incorrect. The stock tire is 26.83" according to the TCM and the MPH at 6,500 correlates. 111-112mph is all you are getting out of 4th at 6,500. I was almost correct that you would need a 28" tall tire to make it to 120. As you stated, you need a 29" tall tire to get to 119+. I will read back over your thread in a bit but I think you are saying that in your particular case the taller tire actually made the car faster. I have some opinions on this that I will post later. Just don't have time right now. Either way your runs are phenomenal as I have stated before. You also provided some good information and some food for thought which is great. I am going to mull it over for a bit.
