Nice, Let us know how it turns out. It will be a while until I get my DRs. but what happened to your car?

I tried this past weekend, but both tracks near me got rained out. I'm shooting for Saturday, since it's supposed to rain again Sunday here. I'm chomping at the bit and going nuts since I haven't been able to run yet!

Car went 12.18@114 not terribly bad. Have to figure out what tire pressure works best still.

On a side note, also have to re torque the axle nuts. They tried to spin off, but were stopped since the factory stakes them. I guess that means the car is hooking. Lol

Post the slip on the fast list thread. About two tenths just for a tire seaps good...manuals seem to need a better tire. What you 60'?

Odd about the axle nuts, how did you notice it?

Rezzing thread to ask an unanswered question. Did these fit perfectly without grinding the caliper?

The wheels fit perfectly fine. Don't have to do anything aside from a regular chrome socket on the lug nuts to reuse the stock lugs.

As for the axle nuts, I'm not concerned since the "stake" (where they dent it to prevent loosening) has kept it from moving further. I'm going racing again on Sunday, and if it even looks like they're loosening then I'll speak to the dealer about it. But the 1/64th of a turn that it had moved doesn't totally concern me. I brought it up only to inform others. I'll try to get you a picture in the next day or so.

The only reason I caught it was the paint that the factory puts on them. Lol. The pair marks no longer line up.

Hey Cdflyer, you are the king of M6es so far. Props.

#1 on the M6 stock list and a 12.042 on the bolton list. Still just the tires and nothing else? If so the M6 is capable of 11s in good air with just DRs. Cool.

So far, I guess I am. I'm actually waiting on GForce for a set of axles and a driveshaft. I snapped an axle clean in half after my 12.04 pass. When the axle broke, the car hooked so hard that it was more then likely going to be an 11.xx pass. If I could find a happy medium with the stock axles it definitely would have done at least 11.99. Once the axles and shaft are in the car, it'll definitely be higher on the list.

And I went with a full on slick. It's the Hoosier D06. Next set might be stiff sidewall so that I can get a few more passes out of them. They wrinkle the sidewalk darn near to the wheel....

You sir are on a mission. Wish I had experience and drive as good as you. Perhaps I can find a beater, build experience and go the nearest race track.

Let us know how it goes when you put fix your axle

please give us the size of slick and the kind of rim, also prices would be good. I like the s71 but $550 a rim is a little much for how much I'll use it.
