I've also purchased, so I'm going to try them, gloss red hash marks with gloss black pinstripes. In the pictures I've seen those look awesome on a white Camaro. Since they are vinyl if I don't like them I can remove them easily enough. Perhaps if I do those I may decide I don't want the hood wrap. Decisions decisions.

Installed Diode Dynamics smoked LED side markers this afternoon. They look awesome. I like the LEDs better than the smoked replacement side markers I have on my 1LE. Those use the OEM bulbs.

Thoughts 1LE to the ZL1? Raises the Hp increase handling feel the same?

The increased HP and torque are the first things you notice in the ZL1. The ZL1 has gobs of power everywhere. And the gearing is taller. It really accelerates. The 1LE is fast and can get you in trouble, but the Z is the 1LE on steroids. In the Z you can be way over the speed limit very very quickly. As far as handling goes, the 1LE feels slightly more nimble and balanced. One of the first things I noticed about the Z, after the increased power of course, is that the front end of the Z feels heavier than the 1LE. Probably because it is. If I hadn't had a 1LE I probably wouldn't have noticed, but the handling and feel in the 1LE is that good. I haven't driven the Z really hard, but it does still seem to have very similar handling limits to the 1LE despite it having more weight on the nose. And the braking seems about the same as the 1LE. The Z has larger rotors and slightly larger calipers. And of course both have the same size wheels and the same tires. Another thing I have noticed is the NPP exhaust sounds different in each car. Of course with the Z having a forced induction motor rather than an NA motor, that makes a difference in the exhaust sound. My 1LE exhaust snaps, crackles and pops a lot more than the exhaust on the Z does. And those sounds are louder on the 1LE. However, the Z's exhaust is probably a little bit louder overall in Sport and Track modes. And who wouldn't love the larger trumpeted tips on the Z. I also really like the way the front of the Z looks. The front of my 1LE looks aggressive, but the Z's front end looks even more so. I'm sure I'll have more thoughts on the differences as I get more seat time in the Z.

One additional thought on the ZL1. There is slightly more supercharger whine than I anticipated based on what I had previously read about the car. It certainly isn't annoying, but you can hear it from inside the car. And it's certainly not like the whine from some of the Dodge Hellcats I've heard.

Nice work on the ride, I really like the black spoiler. Ironically, my Summit White ZL1 will arrive today. I was already considering the black spoiler myself.... great minds think alike!

This is my 2nd ZL1 but I've opted for the A10 in both, because I will mostly drag it, which the M6 sucks at...

The irony is that on my Black ZL1, the skirts didn't match the paint, so it looked off all the time because of the Mosaic black on the skirts. It was really annoying.

Any way I couldn't take the white spoiler on my ZL1. The hind end of the car looked like the back end of a very large polar bear. The Mosaic Black spoiler was delivered to my home before the car was and installed on the day the car arrived.

This weekend I installed ZL1 Addons lift pads on the ZL1 and washed it for the first time.

Web site says it won't fit ZL1, should I just ignore this? Did the same, white wasn't 1st choice but after end of production announcement jumped on only ZL1 I could find that was not already a sold order. Took 3 months looking 250 miles out from my location. |

I will say that breaking the adhesive loose holding the spoiler on is the hardest part of removing the spoiler. The nuts are fairly easy to remove from the inside of the trunk. I had to use a heat gun to soften up the adhesive. If you use a heat gun be careful not to get the paint too hot. The new spoiler comes with new nuts and the adhesive already installed. Let me know if you have any other questions. Changing the color certainly improves the look and Mosaic black matches the other trim pieces.
