Best HP increasing mod for v6

So you can get just 1 mod for your 6th generation V6 Camaro with automatic transmission. What would you get that will give you the best increase of HP/Torque?

Once you get a retune like that you lose your factory powertrain warranties though right?

No, not nescessarly.
If there’s a failure, they have to prove what you have changed is the direct cause of the failure.

Will doesn’t tune 2017+ automatic Camaros though. So if you have an automatic, forget it.

With that said, V6 doesn’t have any true mods like other models. You can do some small stuff: intake, exhaust, TB etc but the only true power adding mod is a turbo/supercharger. No single mod but that will add anything super significant.

Wrong. The TCM just needs to be unlocked then it can be tuned like anything else.

Are these tunesport chips worth a shit? Obviously the plus seems to be you can easily remove it prior to any factory work since it doesn't make permanent changes and it's ridiculously cheap (which is what makes me question it in the first place lol). But what are the negatives I'm not thinking about?

anytime you see someone selling a chip...run.... its bullshit.

obd2 cars get a tune, or a reflash of the ECM.

i'll be real with you. you def need to decide what your goal is with you car.

honest thing is, if you aren't willing to tune a car, then your gains are gonna be moderate at best. if you're one whos warranty conscious, basic boltons are your ticket. expect 20-50 at most to with a fully loaded setup. Intakes cost. 300-400$ Exhausts cost 600-1800$ if you buy quality. And ported tbs are about 150-200$ e85 is also factored in as an option, but switching over to E85 will take tuning.

if you are willing to spend time and money, boost or nitrous can easily net you about 200whp gains when said and done. You can easily be into a supercharger for about six thousand to $8,000. installs will usually cost unless you're doing it yourself.

Please don't expect some single "Best" mod to be the end all be all of mods though. it doesn't exist. its like asking for a diet pill that builds muscle and loses fat and makes you live longer....all you have to do is take one pill. doesn't exist. all mods work in conjunction with each other just like your human body that you're in one thing doesn't work without the other you need one part to basically help out another part and so forth.

and something many overlook when they are just HP focused. suspension.

if you are adding power (or simply want to make better use of whats already there), the FE2 suspension is sloppy and you waste power trying to put it to the ground. very rarely does anyone address suspension.

like said take the time to find out what you're getting into. There's so many people that buy V6's then have all these high hopes of beating their buddies V8. Then they end up nickel-and-diming themselves into a car that they're not happy with at the end simply because they keep throwing parts at a platform but never really had a clear goal in sight. Every platform has its limits

Theres plenty of mods out there. There really are.as far as engine internals, anything can be custom done. Most people arent willing to pay for quality bolt ons, so its doubtful theyd be doing any engine teardown and builds, as internal mods cost $$$ and so does building an engine.

Please listen to this guy...he knows what he's talking about. Figure out what you want before spending any money. If you are expecting any of the basic mods to make a big impact, you will be disappointed.

Now, I believe he can tune the 17,and 18 engine, just he can’t tune the trans. I will check with Will and make sure.

Well, there is the ported intake manifold with the 80 mm Throttlebody from Overkill. Don’t have an exact dyno number on the combo unit, but it does add rear wheel horsepower and torque to a stock LGX. Also , you can get the 80mm Throttlebody ported for even better throttle response and a few more ponies also!

Drumbc has the Overkill tune for E-85 and the 80mm TB/ported intake manifold combo and he dyno’ed at 310 rear wheel horsepower, which is at LEAST a 50 rwhp gain. Stage 1 SuperCharger is 100 hp. Stage one is 6,500$ for the kit. Tuned E-85+ the comb unit is $1,200 for 50 rwhp gain. You can use the combo on the S/C setup if you choose to do that in the future also.
