Factory Dark Tail Lamps
So my dealer just told me the dark tail lamps for the Camaro are illegal and he's suggesting that I take the aftermarket route.
Did any of you ask for this option when you made your orders? |

They are not illegal.
They are black plastic that illuminate red. The brake lense area is clear. Other cars have them from the manufacturer. It has been posted that the installation instructions have been released. I take that as they are coming.

The only reason I can see them being illegal is they don't have red reflectors in them. Not sure if the reflectors in the bumper are adequate for the govt. or not.

The car has separate reflectors in the diffuser. That probably meets the requirement, and is probably why they are there. At least that's what I always assumed.
