Fest has always been a place that had to have a drag strip and a place large enough for autoX. Has a road course become part of the "must have"? I didn't think it did, because the majority of Fest is for people to hang out and spend time with the people they talk to almost every day, online.

Plus, taking away the road course would help the mods/volunteers by cutting back on some duties.

Colorado would even be a good spot to have it. Doesn't necessarily need to be in cali or vegas.

Oh, we've got to have a road course. This first time was a learning experience. Lack of instructors caused issues and it was raining. Other than that, ask people who raced. They loved it. I've already been talking to Danny for next time we go to BG for the track. And if we elsewhere next year, I'd like to have a track so we can road course it. I'm not into 1/4 mile. Autocross is fun but is over way too fast. Road tracks are 20 min to 25 min of racing. What do I want to do? Exactly.

Got to have a road course!

wonder how expensive it would be to rent out the 1.2mile road course that Exotic Racing has at the Las Vegas Speedway....if they even would rent it out.

Going back to the Map I feel Bowling Green was an excellent choice for the East side of the United States.

Now looking at the Map again it seems Colorado would be a good place centralized for the West side of the United States although i have never been there nor do i know what is out there.

Also i think everyone east of Bowling Green probably wouldn't travel to the West side. I know non of my guys nor myself would make the trip it's just too far for us. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't have it out West you would just have a Fest with more West coast guys then East coast that's all

What you need to figure out is would enough people show up out West? Do we have a high number of members who live out West and will a centralized location for the West work and bring in attendees? For us Eastern guys it would just give us a break and more time to save money for the next Fest closer to us that's all. Understanding that we can't please everyone just throwing out my thoughts. I wasn't happy about missing Texas last year but it was too far for my guys and I to travel and none of us want to be there without our cars so flying out just wouldn't work for us.

There were around 600 Camaros in 2011 for Fest 2. I have no doubt that the West can bring as many Camaro's as Fest 6, if not more.

If you can tap into So Cal I think you would tap into a huge following.

would be nice if 5 locations could be set on and rotate from year to year. would make things different each time. A person could fine tune his /her stay. It would also make things for the Mods easier, I think.

So, you say you want vendors at Camaro5fest, then Auto Club Speedway is the place to have it...drag racing, road course, autocross, car show space and plenty of room for vendors, hmm, who is a potential vendor in So Cal, let's see, Hotchkis, Eibach, HRE Wheels, Hedman Headers, Doug Thorley Headers, Borla, BBK, K&N/Spectre, Wilwood, JCG Restorations, JDP Motorsports(Yeah he's in SLC, but part of So Cal Race Team), Edlebrock, Stillen, Surf City Garage, Baer Brakes is in nearby Arizona, these are just the ones I know of the top of my head...so we shall see where it ends up next year...

I vote for out west obviously. Be nice since it would be 5 years and the rest have been south or east

Our concern is that fest 2 brought in about as many west coast cars as Texas did with twice the drive.
If we go west coast next year I expect a huge turnout from socal.
