Any thoiughts on cars showing up via Chevy locator/cars.com? There was an LT1 V8 6 speed "stripper" car that was like 20 miles away but was sold. I would have grabbed it right away. Just seems like most or all of these cars that pop up in searches are spoken for but people claim they have scored cars this way.
they're definitely out there. I put a deposit down for a car in transit that was close to what I wanted, the biggest difference being it's a 1le and that wasn't aprt of my order which I canelled. And the dealer thankfully wasn't asking for any markup and their doc fees were very reasonable. Mine seemed to be so fresh to their site it didn't even have all the right information for it posted, photos were wrong etc. Luckily the window sticker was viewable.
Somethng you might try is calling dealers and asking if they have anything in transit not on their website.

Exactly...every one that is out there now and not already spoken for is going at a premium. I told them the most I would go over was $1500, mainly because this particular model had almost $3k in options I wouldn't have ordered.

Good to hear - and yes, I have been perusing the sites & can inquire about In Transit cars. The Chevy locator does mark them in Transit usually so that helps. Thanks! Phone calls & Texts are easy and cant hurt.

So what happens to the remaining 2022 orders at 1100 status, do those all just get canceled? Do dealers usually roll those over automatically to 23 or do I need to call them to put in an order again?

If 23s aren’t showing up on the lots until September I’ll probably just cancel my order and maybe try again next year. No point tying up a bunch of money in a car I won’t even be able to drive for the first 6 months with winter coming.

Chevy cancels orders and your dealer has to input a new order for 2023MY, it won't in any way roll over automatically.

Are orders with a TPW date at risk of eventually being canceled as well?

I don't believe so, no. They've been accepted by GM.

MightyBobo is right, anything at or past order status 2000 (Order Accepted by Chevrolet) eventually gets built.

Thanks for posting the 2023 gm fleet order guide. I just went through it and it looks like the only changes to the 2023 Camaro are the 2 new exterior colors which is what we have been hearing lately.

Please don't crush me, but I skimmed over the order guide, and maybe I missed it. But didn't see the ZL1 1LE being offered. And thanks for posting the guide.

My ‘22 ZL1, 6 speed, Wild Cherry, was at 2000 in March and was cancelled.
