Looks great OP, can't wait to see them installed. I actually like the Goodyears more than the Michelin PSS that were on my Z06, but the R888R is a bada$$ tire for sure.

Is it the lighting or are your headlights and driving lights tinted? I like the look.

Mine go to the powder coater next week, going with gloss black. Will most certainly be asking about taping or placing a small washer over the bolt holes, never thought of that.

Op do you feel the location you used for the jack stands is better than the pinch welds?
I'm figuring mine will be on jack stands for about a week.

Powder Coater probably's taking advantage of all the Recreational Marijuana around.

I'd take them back as the resulting chips and cracks will cause future issues.

Sorry that I could not get any replies or pictures posted yesterday. I will do the best I can to answer the questions.

The color isn 't plain black, it is a metallic black power that closely matches the trim on my car.

I used a company in Covington KY that has done other wheels for me in the past called "Killer Koatings" It was $400.00 including striping the OEM gray paint.

Rear tire size is 315/30R20, Front size was to be 305/30R20 but dealer or I can not locate them. Dealer supplier said they had them, but it turned out false. Front is back on the factory F1s. I think I am going to just stick with this combo now and see how it goes. I tend to be a little too heavy on the right peddle so more bite out back will help with lack of driver skill, lol.

I rarely "track" the car, It is mostly a street car. The Goodyears that I referred to as "junk" are good tires in the proper application. In a street application, I consider them junk because you can never keep enough temperature in them. When the F1s are hot, they are amazing, but under that optimal temp, they suck on the steet, IMHO.

As for the R888R on the street, My ZL1 is my toy car, I only drive it for pleasure and play. If they last a summer and offer more rear end traction at "street" temps, then I have gotten what I wanted. I considered a drag radial but I wanted a tire that worked in the twisty stuff as well.

The wheels were top coated with "durable clear powder coat" that is supposed to be harder than the base coat. I had this same coating combo on my 2013 Raptor. They did really well on not scratching. A super fine polishing compound would bring any mistakes right out. Thanks for the heads up.

As for powder in the lug wells. This is my 4th set of wheels that I have had them do. The coating where the lug nuts contacts has never been an issue. I do run the lug on and off several times. The friction tends to melt the coating out of the way. I am a stickler about lug nut torque and I have never had the coatings cause any loose of torque and I recheck regularly.

Sorry for the crappy in garage only pictures. It started raining and then snowing here right after i got the wheels and tires home.

Anyone know a good, inexpensive powder coater. I did a google search and the cheapest quote was $125 a corner. That included me removing and taking brake cylinders out.

How are you liking the r888r's in the rear? Fit well? No rubbing? Hook good?

ok, if you were on the west coast, Here in Vegas its $100 per wheel. l've had 3 set of wheels done and they are always perfect. And as someone else was stating, gloss black will scratch easy as in swirl marks, Satin hides all the swirl marks.
