Edelbrock E-Force guys, I need your help

I’ve got an old style blower on my car, been on it approx. 10,000 miles, I’ve started getting some oil around some bolts and the snout, I have a video and I will get some pictures to show what I’m talking about, but I’m wondering how/when to change the oil, and if this is something I should be worried about?

(Hard to get pictures as it’s already dusk.)

I have also had the same problem, it turned out the hole was stripped somehow and wouldn't tighten. Ended up putting a hellicoil in there. So far so good. Ill keep you updated.

Which hole are you talking about exactly?

I just looked at mine, which has 50K miles on the S/C and is perfectly clean. It was installed in Sept. of 2010.

The exact same hole you are having a problem with. The one with the screw.

I had leakage between my supercharger cover and the supercharger itself. I replaced the gasket and Edelbrock gave me new longer screws. The old ones worked themselves loose.

Mine was one of the original kits as well.

Did it make a noise as well? I believe that's whats happening with mine but it's also making a squealing noise when its under load

Do you have a part number for those screws?

Its a common issue. Just remove a bolt and buy some a little longer locally.

My sound did change some as air was escaping from the supercharger lid. I do not have the part numbers, this was done probably 6 years ago. As realcanuk said just look for longer screws.

I looked in my emails and this was their response:

We have added longer bolts to the lid to give better clamping in that
area. We could also have him put some silicone in the dowel hole that
is under that bolt to hedge against leaking.

Please torque the bolts to 8 FT LBS

Should I replace the gasket as well when I do this or did you just replace the screws?

Edelbrock sent me the gasket when they sent me the screws, so i replaced it at that time. Going on 6 years now without any issues.

UPDATE: Spoke with Tony @ Edelbrock yesterday afternoon, He gave me all the info needed and is even sending me a rebuild kit free of charge even though I'm out of warranty! I'll be taking the S/C off as soon as I get the kit in and resealing the lid and servicing the fluid, I'll follow up here when I inevitably run into anything Interesting as he said most of the early built S/C were not tapped for the longer bolts.
