Z28 Introduction - Left Coast 32

Wanted to say hello. We are now a supporting vendor on Camaro5. We have a bunch of new parts coming out for the 5th Gen Camaros.

We will be posting up where we are in our current build on our 2015 Z28 for 1/2 and 1 mile race events. Progress so far has been, full cage (100 feet of 1 3/4" CM) designed and built by us. We wanted a full interior, no airbags (simulators), no factory seat belts (simulators) and full safety gear with 5 point harness, fire suppression, etc.

We are doing everything Carbon Fiber from Anderson Composites except the bumper covers and rear quarter panels. We are currently fitting all the carbon before we disassemble it again and send all the Carbon to paint. Everything will get 4 coats of clear then reassembly, a wrap and clear bra.

Here are a few pics showing where we are now. Thanks for taking a look.

Looks Awesome... Any pics of the cage prior to the interior being installed?

This was the weight of the Z28 before all the Carbon Fiber from Anderson Composites. The dry carbon roof was installed at the same time as the cage because the windows were out at that time. We expect to be around 3700 lbs race weight when finished.

These are before the full interior went back in. We designed stands to be able to raise and lower the cage to finish weld everything.

These are the new Chromoly Crash Bumpers for the Z28, these are brushed then coated in a chemical called Sharkhide. The cage and all other fabricated parts for the Z28 are all brushed then done in Sharkhide. It leaves a protective coating that can be removed easily to perform more welding. It also allows us the ability to show off the TIG welds and heat signature.

Front CM Crash Bar with Tow Hook Receiver

Rear CM Crash Bumper - It will get Receiver for a Tow Hook and a Parachute Mount

You'll be selling those crash bars? What do they weigh compared to stock?

Yes, we will start shipping them next week. We offer them in both Chromoly and Mild Steel. The weights are listed and very close between the CM and Mild Steel sets because the tubing and plate thickness are the same. The Chromoly is just a lot stronger.

Take a look at the link to our for sale thread in the vendor section. Thanks!
