NASCAR really should have a 1LT 2.0L Turbo as a Pace Car

Hehe, the stock car version has the lowered belt line & a rear window you can see out of.

Joking aside, am actually impressed Chevrolet did this. Not sure how it will translate to wins at the track, but may actually start watching again next year.
Will be interesting if Ford replaces their Fusion with a Mustang in a year or so.

Pretty cool they kept the carbon fiber hood scoop. That is awesome.

not using the Alpha platform ...?

NASCAR racing cars havn't used production car platforms in decades

Mimic a few body lines here and there and throw on some stickers. Don't really know what the big deal is about this. Then again I'm not really a nascar fan.

I agree it doesn't ruin the look, but side by side, the road car looks a million times better.

Nascar is in it's death throws. IMSA's where it's at. Four different class on the track at once with both GT classes being actual "door slammers". The beginning of the end for nascar started with letting Toyota compete with a "car" that represented a car that's never had more than 2 cylinders and then there's the whole "car of tomorrow" crap...

Well, to be fair, it's pretty easily defeated by the very dangerous "right turn".

i dont know who gets excited watching any of the road race sports. It's like watching boring sports like baseball. It's only entertaining when things go wrong and a fight breaks out (or in the case of cars, they crash).

4 hours of watching driving commercials go in a circle? I'll pass.

it's one of those things that's way more exciting to participate in than it's ever going to be to watch.

I don't really get in to any of them for the same reason.. I like doing vs watching.

Though, hockey is kinda fun because it's like Boxing on Ice.

That's because GT4 is actual "stock car racing", where NASCAR should really be called tube-frame racing.
