Increased Horsepower

How much does a factory cold air intake and performance exhaust add to a 2018 SS Hot Wheels Edition

The CAI is good for about 431 pygmy my little ponies. Turns on just slapping on a CAI unlocks this and a hyperspace worm-hole appears when you reach 88mph.

It does add a few decibels of rumble. But it's useless otherwise.

Roto-fab claims 26 hp gains. On THEIR testing..... whoopty dooo!

Also the axle back exhaust of any kind will do nothing for h.p. because the NPP bypasses the stock muffler, this was verified by TSP on there dyno. Headers & X-Pipe will increase the power & even an X-Pipe might gain just 2 or 3.

I remember seeing a guy post back to back comparisons at the track with stock airbox and the Rotofab CAI kit and he picked up .1 and around 1 mph which equates to roughly 10 hp. That is what you should expect out of them and you have to ask if around 10 hp is worth $450.

I have a 2018 2ss, automatic Camaro with dual npp exhaust. I put on a K&N blackhawk cold air intake and the flowmaster 817746 axleback.

I chose those mods for more sound. The cold air intake made it a little louder, but the flowmaster totally made it worthwhile.

FYI - be careful what cold air intake you choose. Some will result in a whistling noise on acceleration.

Here are a few dyno sheets comparing the Roto-fab CAI to stock on 2016+ Camaro SS. Our ZL1 CAI has shown consistent gains of 20+ HP in independent dyno testing.

As you can see in forum search, our CAI is the most dyno and track proven cold air intake system for the 2016+ Camaro
