Interesting to note in fraxums atco thread that a new SS a8 and new GT a10 were running the same 12.3 times at atco yesterday in about 1500 DA

doesn't change my opinion that it's dumb lol. No timers, no regulations, still way to many variables that could effect the outcome vs a controlled track like the dragstrip IMHO. Just not my thing, if that's what you like doing more power to you just not for me.
Small private airports have allowed people to "rent" the runway for a few hours. Been to a few of those where we all dropped in some cash and had fun.

But I would say most people do roll racing on the highway or interstate. There are places to be safe about it but generally I prefer to just go to the track.

A very good friend of mine is currently out doing official testing of the 2019 Mustang GT PP2. Should be very interesting to see what he thinks of it...

Official testing? Does he work for Ford?

No, he does not work for Ford. However, it is taking place at a Ford facility up in Michigan. Additionally, these are full production cars, hence why I said official.

Still driver variability. I have witnessed 3 2018 GT autos run 12.4 and up @around 114 and one 12.3 don't know mph. These were all cars with less than 2K miles. I have also seen a 2013, a 2015, and a 2017 GT auto all run 12.4s full weight. But that's another story.

And the fastest stock A8 SS I witnessed as I remember was 12.2. Not sure what Snowblind ran. He might have been faster with his seats out and colonoscopy prep. The man is focused!

To me stock is full weight 1/4 tank. The washer bottle can be empty.

Yeah, I'm not convinced the new GTs are any faster in the quarter. Maybe after a mile where top end seems to favor them, but not by much. And their manuals are definitely slower.

I'm really interested in what the 2019s with the A10 will do.

Interested in what comes of this. I’m assuming this is testing more related to the handling and braking dynamics of the car over anything else?

Anyone else thinks the looks of the new mustang are growing on them? I know for me personally they have, compared to the looks of the new camaro.

They're not ugly, that's for sure. Doesn't hurt that I see them listed for 6-8k off right now.

Front is a bit weird though.

I just reached 1000 miles on my GT and was all set to go out and run some 11's to prove to you that an 18 GT is all that and a bag of Chips too but then I saw this and realized I was screwed.. if I race with this pressure it's spin city.. if I drop the pressure to get traction i'm told the car is no longer stock and the runs don't count.. Now I gotta trade this thing in for a car with the correct tire pressure.

to me the PP1 and PP2 cars look kind of bland and not a whole lot different from a regular GT. at the least the 1LE cars are obvious when you see them.. Ford sure didnt put a whole lot of flashy bling on the PP cars.
