Low torque whats goin on
First run was 1 7/8 no cats full exhaust, flowmaster cai. MM Wild 434hp 435tq.
The second ECS kit, snow meth (washer fluid), dsx breakout w/ mods above. 572hp 490 tq. Difference +138hp +55tq. Dyno issues: The guy was using my afr gauge to tune. The print out only showed like 5 point something psi max and the boost wasnt even showing up till after 4k. (3 psi @ 4500). One of the charge pipes on the kit had to be reduced (3" to 2 3/4) in order to fit around the headlight (2019). Im doing mods in sequence. Fuel is next on the shelf but what is going on with the torque is the first thing i want to know or is it normal to get 55 lb increase in torque with a centri. My SS was the ECS test car for this kit (My car/dyno on the ECS website).
I went from 390hp/390tq (bone stock car) to 550hp/510tq on their dyno with the only mod being the ECS supercharger kit at ~7.5 psi WOT (I have a boost readout from the dyno run I'll dig that up). So roughly +160 hp/+120 tq gains with no other mods. Since then I've added ARH headers/mids + AEM watermeth and gained around 30 ft/lbs or more (and over 50 hp) at less boost (boost dropped to 5.5 psi after ARH system) and I haven't even pullied back to 7.5 psi yet (coming soon). So it's hard to say but your torque does seem a bit on the low side (and my torque curve is a bit flatter than yours) but Definately don't expect Maggie or Whipple like torque levels with the Centri setup different ball games lol What's your max ign timing/curve + vvt tuning look like ? -Jon

My guess is the timing is low in the mid range and/or the VVT is untouched.

Found out the wrong pulley came with kit. I still need to check the timing like people were saying. I do have the tunes (stock, header, superchared) if anyone wants to check em out for me.

What pullies did you get? My kit (used to have the ECS/Paxton) was ordered for a stock engine, and it came with a 32t on the supercharger and a 30t on the jackshaft, talking about the cog part of the system here. From what others who've purchased this kit have said, that is normal.
As RageWorx mentioned, having long-tube headers gives a lower 'boost' reading, which is because of the lower restriction. However, don't mistake this effect for actually losing anything, as the supercharger is still spinning just as fast. For a crankshaft-driven supercharger, blower rpm is what determines how hard you are pushing it, not so much the boost number itself. |

More comments about the torque, when I first had my ECS kit, it was weak for some unknown reason, one of the dyno sheets was 481hp and 471 torque. On the very same dyno, my bone stock car had read 395hp and 397 torque for reference. This was the base ECS kit with no methanol injection, and a completely stock exhaust system. So even not working very well, it still had gained about 74 lb/ft of torque with the base supercharger. Later, I tried the kit again, this time adding a DSX baro breakout. My guess, from how much faster it was that time, is that the torque gain from the base supercharger might have been 100 lb/ft or more, like RageWorx had experienced. No dyno runs in try 2.0, but actual performance told the tale, it ran some 10.9s in summer heat at the 1/4 mile dragstrip. |

Its a little frustrating because I have the lt4 stuff to put on and the way these gains are lookin I'll be lucky to crack a 100 ft lbs of torque, total.
