I need some of you vert guys to start adding some sound clips? I will be tearing into the motor this winter and I'm still up in the air on which exhaust system to go with?

Good Morning Forum,
Over the weekend i purchased my first ever Camaro SS convertible. It's a 2019 model that is brand new (sat in the dealers showroom for 10 months). I will be picking up the vehicle over the weekend as I'm adding some GM goodies to it that they had to order in but wanted to see if anyone was able to install a catback system on their verts yet? Dealer says no because of the bracing underneath but where there is a will there is a way. Looking forward to learning on this forum and making my new ride my own. Cheers

Congrats on your new convertible. I know several people have posted about installing exhaust systems on their convertibles in the forum. I have the multi mode system and am satisfied with that, especially with the fuse pulled.

Ignore my ignorance but what does the "fuse pull" actually do? My car is also equipped with the NPP option.

On my 2017, fuse F51 under the hood is the NPP valves. Pulling the fuse leaves the flap open all of the time. More than when track mode. I assume the 2019 model is the same.

I am with you, I just purchased my new leftover 2018 last year and over the winter, I was looking for a catback exhaust, so that I could delete the secondary cats, well I have always had Gibson Performance exhaust and I saw that they had a nice stainless steel system for the 6th gen camaro. that deletes the cats and retains the NPP mode. The price for the whole system was like $1050 shipped or $1300 for black ceramic. The axle-backs are running that if not more and some do not retain NPP. I was all set to order when they realized I had a vert, which I thought I mentioned, but anyways they also said it would not work. They did however tell me that if I knew of someone or could find someone in the California area that would let them look at the vert to see what they can come up with and probably end up with a free exhaust out of the deal, they could see what they would have to do to their system to make it work. So if you know anyone in that area, they are telling me there is a chance, LOL.
