This is the kind of rubbish they were talking before the LT1 came out. 25% of sales is nothing now. First they said they wouldn’t sell any, then they said they sell some, now 25% of sales is not enough. People will never admit when they’re wrong. The LT1 was a good idea and the haters are still hating

i don't think you know what 'hating' or comprehending is, consequently you completely miss the point. I'm not commenting whether i like the LT1 model or not. You seem to equate 25% of the total with a 25% increase.
They created a less expensive model to sell more cars. They aren't selling more cars.

Camaro sales are up. So the 25% is part of that being up. Hello. Any company that introduces a new model and captures 25% of the sales they consider that a success. A huge success. Come on guys get it together here. Only haters can spin this in a way where it doesn’t mean anything. GM learned that they need to go down market not up.

Individual customers (retail) are indeed increasing Camaro sales and a good part of that is likely the LT1 being 25% of the retail sales. Yes they are to retail customers, less to fleet and rentals. I know those who are expecting the demise of the Camaro will find any good news as disappointing, but the LT1 is bucking the phony, non-existent demand for EVs and not doing its part for the ICE free inevitable future narrative. |

The Challenger is becoming its own segment it’s like the jeep wrangler. Just doesn’t need to be updated and people just continue to love it and buy it.

That’s what all muscle cars were intended to be - great performance accessible to everyone. If GM priced the 2SS Camaro $6-8000 cheaper it would sell more. Instead it sits on lots for a year like mine. |

The LT1 should be the car that fills the bill as a "muscle car". Sort of like the idea behind this 409 Biscayne...
