I just put in an order for my LT2 at RockAuto.com.. Also noticed sdparts.com has the cover for 120 with free shipping.. I made the decision that the port work probably isn't worth the 3 extra horses it right now until its head / cam time.. post warranty lol
Also going no tune but its a daily and I do zero road racing or drag stripe.. a little extra pep would be amazing.

hey saltine1130, do you need the fitting for the brake vac line hook up on your new LT2 intake, I have one , will sell it for $15. Its brand new and it cost me more that that.

I put my LT2/ ported 95 on today and no issues on start up. To the tuners tomorrow. I just have to figure out the catch can line so it’s not going upwards.

Just use a 3/8 rubber fuel line elbow and cut off a 1/2 inch off the plastic tube.

Damn shame. Trying to figure out if people with stock throttle body and lt2 mani have issues or just ported tbs
My friend installed it with his Soler Performance 95 TB and it lugged around in lower gears but in higher gears it was fine and he was on a stock tune.. He switched to the stock tb and didnt have any problems.. he plans to track it next month.. All he has on his 1le is a GM CAI with GM tune and x pipe. Maybe it was the GM tune. I tuned mines since I was adding headers and e85 anyways.

I put my LT2 intake on with a Soler ported 87mm TB which is a 91mm, same one I had on the stock intake, drives exactly the same in any gear or speed as the stock TB on the stock intake and the Soler 91mm on the stock intake and the Soler on the LT2 intake.

I got my car back today from getting it tuned after the LT2, Katech ported 95 and while it was there I had the shop install the ATI damper. I didn’t want to take on that after reading/hearing some of the nightmares with the crank bolt. So anyway I went from a Katech ported stock throttle body, and a pray stock intake to as stated above the LT2/95 combo............ my total gains.......7 yes 7 RWHP. I am a bit disappointed after all the hype on this intake. I will be the first to say I don’t race dyno numbers and they are great tuning devices but I was expecting a little more than 7. Oh well it is what it is now to actually get it to the track and get some time slips.

do you have a graph? did they bump the rev limiter up? what's the power difference at 6400?

Yes you got 7 but that is ontop of an already ported stock intake and tb. Going from stock to LT2 is a much larger increase.

In the end you do have to decide is it worth chasing 1-2 HP here and there.

Well all the little extra HP power from different mods adds up, especially if you have a goal. If your going from 11.01 to 10.99 then that person would probably say it’s worth it in the end. Plus usually the people doing things like this just enjoy working on their car and changing stuff just to be different from other stock cars. Myself my garage door is always open and certain neighbours come by to talk about cars, to me it’s worth it.

I had a Solar ported 87MM/91 TB and a stock IM. After I installed the unported LT2 I picked up 12HP & 13TQ. I didn't have it tuned after the LT2 intake as I wanted to see what it did with just the intake. Plus everything was running perfectly so not sure if getting it tuned for it will be worth the extra cost at this point.
