How good is the Bose upgrade
Right now thats the deciding factor for me getting a Fully Loaded LT1 or a 1SS is it worth sticking with the lt1 or will I regret not getting an SS. I just came from a base LT1 and the speakers werent the best but at the same time I cant afford a 2SS.
Is there anyone who’s experienced both? |

I can tell you the 9 speaker Bose CRANKS.
It blows away the 14 speaker JBL in the new Supra.

And you can get Bose as an option on the LT1.

I have the bose on a 2023 convertible and was really surprised how good it is. I had a 2016 with the bose but that was garbage and i ended up replacing it but between 2016 and 2023 they did an upgrade and its good

If I could order my car without speakers I would, that's just to say I really don't care about sound. I think the 1SS speakers are fine, I'm sure the 2SS sounds better, but it doesnt even come close to justifying the price increase.

1SS doesn't come with the Bose upgrade, does it? I thought you had to get 2SS to get the Bose, whereas 1SS comes with an amp in the trunk (different than the Bose amp) but a standard six-speaker system.
I will say that you can certainly upgrade the amp and speakers that come with the 1LT for less money than the price difference between the three trim levels.

If you can get the Bose as an option... I would. It's worth it. I have two chevy's with Bose and one Chevy without. I sure wish the one without had it. Night and day difference in sound quality.

I was between the 1SS and LT1. For me, I like the cluster gauges for the 1SS, Track Mode (track warranty) and prefer the SS front end. Figure it would cost more to add those features. Different tires too.
Had Bose in my past 3 cars and not a big deal to me. However, I have been told in certain states the insurance can be cheaper on the LT1. Last edited by grgus73; 10-06-2022 at 08:07 PM. |
