So if you order a 2022 on 4/9 you have to wait over 2 months just for them to begin production? How does that make sense?

This is really unfortunate. Was just about to place an order for a custom LT1, but I guess there's no point. Can't find a single shock LT1 Camaro on a lot with the exact things I want either. The last thing I want to do is wait 5+ months for a car and not be able to enjoy it before winter. Hope they can get the parts and get production back soon

I placed an ordered for a LT1 Camaro 2021, back on 3/4/21... and It’s been 21 days and it’s still no progress..It’s just at 1100 status... Which just means order placed by dealer....I’m hoping they could start to go back in production in early April....Don’t wanna wait for a 2022. I could relate to your message.Because the dealer can’t find the car I want as well that’s why I had to custom order.

My order: redhot Coupe, auto, dual mode exhaust, moonroof, red seat belts, Red brake calipers, Suede steering wheel and shifter.

It is pretty frustrating. I'm finally in a position where I was able to order one, and this happens. I hope it doesn't last past April 12th, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

I'm thinking it's best to be patient and get the car exactly how I want it, rather than scramble to find one on a lot and sacrifice options.

2022 ordering starts on 4/29, not 4/9.

Well, the bad news continues...

GM's Lansing Grand River assembly in Michigan will extend its downtime through the week of April 26.

So why do they chose the Camaro to halt? Why not Silverado?

Just in case this wasn't a rhetorical question, the cash cows gotta keep grazing.
