I love my manual 1LE.......BUT, if they made one in an Automatic, I would have bought the Auto instead. Just being honest.......

theres no real performance advantage in a manual any more, but some folks still like to stir their own gears.

And it likely never will as the stigma would take too long to reverse if they started now. The majority of fans interested in the technical aspects of it can't afford it, those who can usually dont care about the technical reasons why it's better than the competition.

Chevy would do itself a favor and just copy how the mustang lineup works. Same car, trims down to the cheap seats all the way up to the box seats. Make that the camaro lineup (or call it whatever, since the camaro technically died with the fbody), relegate the corvette to limited number exclusive run-offs like the Ford GT.
A base stingray is much better than a SS camaro, you can buy a 2019 base stingray with a manual trans for 48k Why would I spend 40 k on a base SS

Thank you for being honest , I really want a 1LE but just don’t want the stick shift that much. I’m really hoping that for 2020 maybe I can get a SS 1LE automatic.

This is the number one reason I wasn't interested in a 1LE. I have been driving a Frontier with a manual trans for the last 20 years. I have changed enough gears to last me a lifetime.

Now if I had done a bit more research and found out about the A8 shudder sooner I might be driving a ZL1 right now...

Keep in mind the transmission GM keeps comparing upshifts to (both A8 and the new A10) is the Porsche PDK, a DCT. The downshifts never seem to get mentioned.

It effectively IS a manual transmission, it just shifts itself faster than your or I ever could.

DCT in my Audi S4 was by far the best transmission in a car I've owned. I'd take one over an automatic or manual any day.
