Post Black 2015 Z/28 For Sale

Hey guys, I'm new here so bare with me and any tips or suggestions are much appreciated! I'm trying to help out my dad in selling his Z. We've got a Black 2015 with just under 3400 miles. I believe we have build #972 with A/C and radio. It has been always garage kept, never seen rain, non-smoker house, and depending on who it's going to this could be the most important part, it has never been tracked! Everything is bone stock. We're asking 60k Obo.

60k is pushing a bit high imo. With the market right now and the scarcity, I think listing it just shy of that, somewhere in the high 50s, and accepting low-mid 50s might be a realistic scenario to get you more bites. Listing at 60k or above might scare some off, especially with ZLEs running @ 53-56k with low mileage (which right now are even scarcer than Z/28s).

Mine with 11.6k miles was listed @ 54-55k originally, then dropped a couple days after to 53k. But I got out the door for 52, so really paid 47k and some change for it, just to give you a roundabout idea.

That being said, its just my opinion, and I seriously hope you get what you are looking for for it!

Very nice looking vehicle. I know you said you're new to the forum. Maybe read through the Z/28 posts and see what a special vehicle you have. I know $$$ is important and everyone has their reasons for moving on but these cars are very unique. You may want to hang on to this one.

I hear you about 60 maybe being a bit high. But these are the last Z/28s likely to ever be built. And I do have it as Obo so people can still talk to me and negotiate a bit. Either way she's a beauty and I wish I could take it off my dads hands lol appreciate your guys input! Just have to wait and see how it goes

I would hold your water on mid fifties personally, especially if you father is the original owner. Some buyers will pay a premium for that. Only knock is it's black and that's the highest produced color so you will always have competition. Regarding the ZLE, quite a beast.. but will never be as special as a Z and they have been building them for four years now.. All JMHO

That black looks swirl free, low miles and it has the wicker bill. Maybe an engine detail or at the very least some protectant on the intake hose to bring it back to black. Griots engine detail spray is great. Careful on the red script on the engine covers though, that red paint comes off easily. I think the asking price is fair. Gives room to negotiate. In my opinion I think you should hold, there's been an uptick in inventory since asking prices have been creeping up.

60k as an asking price is not bad at all, based on the july trend you're at 57500, the curve has probably moved up since then. To me its outrageous to think that a ctsv wagon(auto or manual) has a better retention of value than the z28s.

Zl1-1LE comparison is fair but not a NA 427, also greater production numbers as they will continue to be made from 2017 to 2023(assumption - atleast 2020 for sure)

Thanks for all the input guys! I knew I'd forget something in the post. It is one owner and we have the title in hand! I'll have to figure out how to edit the original post after I get off work!

I have been checking out CTS-V coupes. They seem to have gone up in value especially the 6 speed ones. Makes sense since the current CTS-V is more a boat than the Gen 2 car and on top of that they don't make a coupe version any more.

If GM makes it official that they will end production of the Camaro with Gen 6, expect the Z/28 prices to go considerably higher IMO.

The GT350 and ZLE's are starting to come down in price. Ford and GM made too many of them.

IMO it is worth at least 60k!. While I agree black was the most popular with every month that passes, low mileage w paperwork will continue to build value. If you can be patient it will sell at your asking price.
