My LT1 Front brembos produce a lot of brake dust maybe they changed something with the 2021 LT1 Camaro front Brembos.

I put snows on our new vert at work. Drove it home.... 17 miles. I was going to put the cover on the car so I went over it with detailer. The wheels were filthy on the outside. And the inner part of the rim was coated. I couldnt believe it.
And its a SS vert with the 2 piston fronts. Or 4 however its referred to.

Do not ask what wheel I have because it doesnt matter, brake dust is very noticeable no matter what color or finish is on the wheel.
Yours are LT1 Brembos, not the SS Brembos.

I also never get dust. Even after the beating it got in high speed turns and 120mph+ WOT burst on our cruise Sunday with plenty of hard breaking i don't see any dust.

My 2016 SS wheels got very dusty and I got tired of cleaning them so I bought a 2018 SS 1LE with black rims. Now the dust hardly shows.

Problem solved.

Aren’t 2021 cars supposed to have low copper formulas for emissions? Maybe they had to make a broader change to maintain performance?

Pretty sure GM switched pad material to conform with Kommiefornia's new chemical ban on the copper that was in the old pads. There was a brief moment a few months back when it was actually illegal to sell the 2021 Camaros with Brembo Brakes in Kommiefornia until they switched to the new material in the pads.

Oy vay

Yeah the whole west coast can break off the continent at the San Andreas fault line and float off into the Pacific and form their own island nation as far as I'm concerned.

All these lame jokes aside, glad to hear your pads don't dust. I know it may be hard to tell if you didn't have another 6th gen before, but how do you like the initial bite and braking in general? I only have the standard 4-piston SS kit, but even that is pretty confidence inspiring, what with the dust (that I don't mind, cleaning wheels is therapeutic ).
Brake performance during any type of spirited stopping or slowing down is great, no need for road course type dusty dirty pads for any type of street driving imo. Bite is good hot or cold, no fade, no slow speed over sensitivity.

Oh but that ugly brake dust is still there and it is visible making the black wheels look worse than they already do clean.
Thats like the guys on the Corvette Forum painting the polished stainless exhaust tips flat black so they do not see the soot build up when you do not wipe them clean every couple of days LOL

And that is a big plus for many of us. If I got dust, I would have replaced the pads within the first few hundred miles like I did on my 2019 C7 GS.
