Seems like Z/28s are going up?

Seems to me like nice clean low mile Z/28s are few and far between. Also seems like they are trending up in value. Is just me? I know a car is not a great investment, but it would be nice to own a car that doesn’t tank like almost every car on the road does.
Took mine out for a quick ride early this morning before it gets too hot. No one on the road. So much fun. Love this car!

They seem to at least be holding, price wise. So as far as any car goes, they’re doing very well.

I don’t think they’ll jump in value any time soon, so maybe they’re not an investment short term. But it’s damn nice to drive a car knowing you could sell it pretty much for what you bought it for.

I agree with ‘holding’. Cars with <500 miles are pulling $55-60k as of a few weeks ago. That’s what they cost when the left overs were blown out a few years ago.

You've gone from literally hundreds sitting on lots with dry rotted tires and faded paint to now. No gen 6 Z, lots of them out there with 20k miles so the cream puffs are getting picked up as a spec play, or folks in the market just don't want them with high mileage and are willing to pay up. Either way it's taken a couple years but they are seemingly holding in the current range quite well with an uptick on the choice one's. Two years ago I had a chance at a wrapper 14Z with 20 miles that i passed on at 43k, the dealer gave him 41k, those days are over.

Buyers want a Z/28 because it's a track car. But they want a low mile car that's never been tracked. Go figure.

$47,500 For a pristine red 15 with 500 miles. As of yet no takers. Saw the car on e bay. Also a few black cars with just under that price, some look beat on pretty good. No takers there either.

NVNO1,
Care looks awesome!
What kind/size tires you running.

And yes, it seems the prices are leveled off...

I'd give it 5-7 more years until prices start coming up even on higher mileage models. 7 liter naturally aspirated, smooth 6 speed manual, rear wheel drive, wide body flared, and monstrous handling will be sought after. 2 year model run and less than 2k cars built. They should do better than the GT350/R down the road. Ford made a lot more GT350s than Chevy did with the Z/28.

I agree. There are probably 15k + Shelby GT 350's and around double the amount of R models than Z's, and the Z's don't have an oil consumption issue. I owned both, sold the R and have two Z's

Pretty sure the entire Ford line up has oil issues
