Just Bought a 2016 2ss for me and the Wifey

Couple of question .. Just Bought our second Camaro. First was a 2011 1lt v6. loved it and drove it 7 years problem free. Got us a 2016 2ss with just about everything..Two simple questions.. I have the two tone black and white interior with the red accents.. I am pretty good at cleaning and detailing, But have a small area on the white leather I can't get off, Any help on cleaning solutions for that.. Second I had dealer go through it and got everything I wanted checked looked at or fixed or adjusted, But have one more issues. The tach in 6 gear ,Yes 6 speed, Will sometimes bounce around ,Like from 1800 up to 3000 rpms. Rpm. Then just go back to normal.. any ideas please.. Thank you, And yes my wife drives it as daily and loves 455 and three pedals..I got lucky..

I have the Ceramic White interior trim as well and use Griots Garage Interior Cleaner on mine. Good stuff.

First, congratulations ! ……. I, myself, am a little partial to those upgraded, factory rims.

On the leather, while I have my thoughts I'm sure that there are others that are more experienced that can chime in ………..but as for the tach issue - I would first try disconnecting the battery for about an hour, re-connecting it and see if that cures it. If not, I would put about 200+ miles on it and then take it back to the dealer and have them look over it; they'll probably just do a re-flash

I think these are some of the best looking factory wheels out.. But look at something black forged next year.. Set it apart little.. As for tach one thing that worries me is I had them run their computer on it to see if they could find anything..They didn't ,I also don't have much confidence in dealership to be honest.. But I will try that and see again and if need be, I'll go to next town dealership.. Thank you response.

Very nice!! I got lucky too in that my wife loves the power and sound of the SS! Problem is she likes it so much that she’s claimed it as her own which leaves me to drive our 17 1LT with the V6 and manual while she daily drives the SS! Something wrong with this picture!!😉

Can’t help with the cleaning issue, but hope you have as good an experience with your new SS as I have with both of my 6th gens!

A stubborn mark or stain on white can often be removed with a Mr. Clean sponge... but be careful, they look really soft but are slightly abrasive which is why they work so good.

If you are still under warranty have a dealer check the tach. It may be a loose connection.

Congrats on the 2SS, they are great

Thank you.. I have, But I'm thinking along the lines of maybe a ground issue. I know that can be a major issue of on newer cars..

Go slow and use a little water with it as a lubricant. GM leather sucks. There's no going back if you scrub through the layer of white dye.
