Thanks for this. As for me with my M6 and a ported MSD I was thinking the ported stocker might help my 60' That is a difference but not much. I will wait until I install the 4.10s (assuming they are out by then) next spring and see how that works out with a better shift light.

Pray, MSD says you can raise the redline using their Intake because of it's added flow characteristics, is the same true for your ported stock intake?

After 50+ passes on the ported MSD I can tell you that it runs best shifting it at 6,500 give or take 50rpm depending on the gear. My stock ported IM made it's best runs within 100rpm of those shift points depending on the gear. My ported MSD carried the power another 200rpm over the stock MSD on the dyno. Trying to shift it at 6,700 or what ever only slowed the car down. The shift points didn't change much at all.

It boils down to tq at the shift recovery point vs. the rpm drop from the shift rpm peak.

But yes, you can raise the shift points a bit with my ported stocker.

Why don't you just put both of them on a Flow Bench and save some time???

Hey Eddie, I do have IG and FB now. We are working on a web site. I do check the FB quite a bit now but I will be honest. I SUCK at IG and I don't really get how to work it. I honestly forget to check it or updated it. I have found that keeping up with social media kills my productivity. I am still basically a one man show. So for anyone that hits me up on either FB or IG, I am not ignoring you. Email is still the best way to get ahold of me. I also prefer the connection with customers I get through email. Email is also how I track things. I have a permanent reference to look back on for conversation sake.

Thanks,
Brett

Cuz I like to party. LOL.

I did flow test my stock ported IM/TB. The combo was worth about 20cfm.

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483048

I have not flow tested the MSD. It has to flow more than the ported stocker. But the flow numbers wouldn't tell the whole story. I think the dyno graphs tell the story better.

And I never said I couldn't get a car down the track, but thanks for the compliment. At my own pace that is pretty easy most of the time. I am talking about actual drag racing. There is a ton that goes into getting to the line, staged properly, and hooking the car on the light. That is why I say I am no drag racer. I completely ignore the guy next to me and do my thing. I am only at the track to set records.
