That means there's probably less than 200 in Canada. Feels kind of like driving an exotic car. I wouldn't be surprised if I've seen more Lamborghinis and Ferrari's than 1LE's around Toronto.

Is the 2SS really worth the $5-6k up charge? Blind spot, rear sensors, ventilated/heat seats, Bose sound, Homelink, spectrum interior lighting. All nice creature comforts but $5-6k is a big chuck of change.

No, I had a non 1le 2ss and the the only thing I miss is the Bose. That is my opinion at least, others may feel it is a good use of the money but for me not using these cars as daily drivers I was more drawn to the overall driving experience of the 1le.

I really had no use for much of the 2SS options once I chose the 1LE.
Like mentioned, I would probably like the Bose, but other than that not much else.

Well, I have sure gotten my use out the ventilated seats. I'm sure the heated seat and steering wheel will come in handy. Temps in winter from the mid teems to 110 in the summer. And the rear cross traffic alert warned me of impending doom before I could see the car speeding down the parking isle. And yes, I look, but even when you park out in the back of the lot at Costco, some jerk always has to park his Motorhome or conversion van right next to you.

I emailed socialmedia@gm.com with my VIN and questions. I received a eCopy of my build sheet and the number of NGM 1LEs for '18. They said they would follow up with production numbers once the run of all were completed.

" ..G7Q-Nightfall Gray Metallic...714"

Give them a jingle, very helpful.

I can't believe you have to buy 2SS to get blind spot and cross-traffic alerts. That should be standard on a $40k+ car, especially one with huge c-pillars and small windows.

I also can't believe nobody has come out with a controller for the 1SS 1LE Recaros, AFAIK all the heat/ventilation parts are in there, you just don't get controls for them. But I'd also guess the market for such parts might be small. I may have to DIY something...

Agreed on both. I don't know how useful blind spot monitors actually are, every time I drive a car with them I find them annoying and unnecessary.

Just out of curiosity, how long did they take to respond?

I had them on my previous car and it took a while to get used to them, once I did I found them helpful. They are basically an idiot light, but we're all idiots sometimes.

I specifically waited for the 2SS. I wanted the idiot light blind spot monitors and use them constantly. Also the Bose was a must for me and the interior lighting adds a unique flare to the car. There was also no way I wanted the cheap plastic knee pads and door pads. Made it a comfortable daily driver for sure. Well worth it in my mind

I couldn’t choke the price of the 2SS when all I wanted was the Bose.
I swapped the Suede knee bolsters and Carbon Fiber Dash in and saved a grip

As far as a 2SS option package the only thing that I have any angst over is the lack of heated seats
