Just set up some cones in an unused parking lot and have at it. But, from your commentary.. He's "one of those" types that no matter what you do, he's always better, been there, done that, etc. and will have 10 million excuses if you win... and like the saying goes. Just laugh at the douche and walk away. It's enough to know you could smoke his effeminate butt.

I’ve had two Prosches, two Mustangs, an Rx7, a Benz, a couple of VWs. The gen6 Mustang I drove didn’t push any nostalgic Mustang buttons. I’ve liked Camaros too. The ‘67 SS convertible my friend’s parents bought new made a strong childhood impression. I’ve configured the gen 6 Camaro many times over the last couple of years. Searching for question answers brings me back to this site; but I have to say guys, ... discourse like this thread kind of perpetuates the bad Camaro owner’s rep. I like the car, and I’d like to buy American this next go around, but ... I just don’t think I can be a part of this tribe. I’m not enraged or deeply offended, I just wouldn’t want to be associated with it. Ya know Godfatha, some people think all convertibles are hair stylist cars. I myself would probably go for a BMW M240ix or an Audi S4 before a TT, but I can see why it might appeal to some people. It’s compact, sporty, and has AWD. For some, it’s a nice alternative to the AWD Challenger.

I really like the new Audi TT-RS
https://www.caranddriver.com/audi/tt-rs My nephew is into these and now that he is a Major and no kids, he is looking to roll one soon. I'm sure we will do the intercooler, turbo?, chip, downpipe, CAI upgrade for some stupid HP. That's OK I'm doing a full built + supercharger on my "stock" SS.

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...al-test-review https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...rm-test-review (Assuming you wanted the manual trans numbers) Also you left off the TTS time which is what matters anyway. 12.8 vs 12.4 is a bus length+ in the 1/4. The TTS would only be competitive to 60 due to AWD. So the numbers of 0-60 is the only place the Audi owner would even get that idea, and shows how little he understands about the performance of his car.

Well guys, to be honest both are two completely diffewrent animals. Numbers don't always tell everything. Factor in the DSG transmission and engine tuning capabilities. From a roll i'd put money the Camaro will take it, but be careful with what those cars can do with a tune. Most are running 11's with a stage 1 tune.

My TT is modified with a Garrett 3071 turbo and stoked to 2.1 liter; roughly 420 awhp. These old engine blocks are nearly indestructible and can handle 800-1000 hp with ease. No doubt in my mind that the little "Angry Gnat" would pull my E-Force SS for the first 50-100 feet. The TTs don't come with the usual Quattro AWD, so changing the load transfer to full time AWD is just a matter of changing out a controller plug. Kinda fun to see all four tires smoking! My SS is a much better car all around as compared to my 2001 TT. But the TT still sits in my garage waiting for me to get it back into road shape and drop the top for a cruise. |

I had the previous gen. TTRS and with just an APR Stage 1 tune, MSS springs (to dial out the understeer), and extreme performance tires (RE-11, Advan Neo AD08r) and a camber adjustment, it was no joke. The biggest thing that the TTRS lacks is the ability to put a wider tire on there to really be able to increase the lateral g's. While the TTRS used the Halex AWD and not Quattro, It gets the job done quite well. With a stage 1 tune, extreme performance tires, and the nannies off, I used to be able to take a 180 degree U-turn from a stop light and go full throttle and get just a mild 4 wheel drift and just take off quicker than you knew what just happened. From a stop light dig, I caught many sport bikes off guard. If it wasn't for the $30K price difference, I would have chosen the new TTRS over the 2SS 1LE and put a little into it. |

Cant speak to the TT,but I whipped a buddy in his V8 RS5 from a roll at many different speeds at a local track. From a dig he jumped out a couple cars but I quickly reeled him in and pulled past him in my 16 2SS A8 by simply leaving the traction control on and nailing it, letting the tranny shift itself. He had a VTR tune, CAI, and exhaust, and I am bone stock. I expected it to be much closer based on all the stats. I will say the Audi V8 sounded pretty wicked though.
