Some of these responses are so nuts... It reminds me of Twitter. You have people saying they are buying cars based on resale value in 30 years and others comparing an outdated 8 speed to the 10 speed. To the original poster of this thread, drive both cars for 30 minutes each and make your choice. These are mass produced cars over several years, it shouldn't be hard to find someone with each type.

Oh and one last thing which if you are buying the car for performance, I suggest you research. Go look at the official GM video of the full nurburgring lap. This might tell you everything you need to know.

Handling in these will surprise you for a vehicle not made for a road course like a ZL1.
Handling in what context? I wouldn't take one on a mountain road with a bunch a switchbacks, I'm sure it's fun tooling around your neighborhood

True e sports cars are coming https://insideevs.com/news/564522/ko...lectric-motor/ but Tesla is only a good handling car with the uninitiated

I'm not comparing the handling of a Model Y to a ZL1, on paper, its no comparison. I'm saying that the stiff suspension in the Tesla and the low center of gravity due to the majority of the weight (battery pack) in the car being underneath the car, along with the two motors split at the front axle and rear axle give the car deceptively good handling and balance. It does not feel like a 4400lb vehicle. I had a Hellcat prior to the Tesla and it felt like a 4400lb heavy pig, the Tesla feels MUCH lighter than its specs. Its just crazy and its hard to explain until you drive one.

It is quite amazing isn't it. And what's more amazing is the few that took and turned your thread topic into yet another lame ev debate and continue going back and forth are the same clowns who jump on others for posting off topic responses in other members threads. Yeah it's getting pretty deep around here...

Long threads typically always evolve.

Yup, just like conversations in real life. And especially when a thread is given such a controversial title.
