End of the year track day

I've been on here a little while doing research on the platform and thought I'd contribute.

2020 Camaro LT1 I bought in August and have done some basic bolt ons, LT2 intake manifold, speed engineering headers and flex tuned by me. I've tuned alot of different platforms and this Gen V torque based stuff is not easy. Here's a youtube video I made of this past weekend.
Edited to add a pic of the fastest pass slip if people dont want to watch a video

Nice Runs. A little tweaking and you'll be in the 10's

You'd be in the 10s with just some trans tuning and maybe a little more timing on the launch. Get the 60 ft into the 1.50s and your there. Congrats on a nice pass for the mods, car looks good on the launch. If this is your first tuning on this platform your doing pretty darn good I'd say.

Some nice passes for sure. Full drag pak helps , how low was the DA and what air pressure in the rear tires, any weight reduction?

Thanks bud

I've been fighting a tm throttle closure and and timing pull around 2600 rpms for awhile. Still got a little bit of it on the 11.19 pass. I also started the day with some e73 that seemed like winter blend and was a little knock happy, tried drowning it with a pail of c85 that only got me to e77 and a little knock. There's a little left in it as it sits but I'm kind of looking to boost over the winter. I actually got to talk to the Nickey guys at the track about the toohighpsi setup you all are running. As for the tuning, yes I do alot of research and test as much as I can, mostly on the street but it's something.

airdensityonline.com shows it around 700' DA at the time of my passes. 20psi of air in a quick time pros, which are a little slower than the et street r's ive ran before. The only weight reduction is the aluminum skid plate/brace is removed. I took it off to do the headers but never put it back on. All seats, and front sway bar are still in.

Good to know thank you. What about cats , mid x pipe and mufflers, any change there?. Your front runner set up should have cut some weight, how much does each front weigh?

The car came with an mbrp cat back when I bought it. I made my own connection pipes from the headers to the cat back. There are no cats or mufflers and why it's too loud lol. The front runners are definitely light but no i don't have a weight off hand.

I would guess between the headers and the rest of the exhaust system changes that could be close to a 50lb reduction and the front runners could be another 40lbs.

It was another fun day. Very unusual to be able to run this late in the year. Your car seemed like its running well, congrats and as Greg stated, just a trans tune and your in the 10s, all else the same. We Just needed some better prep to get hooked up.

We are all fighting TM until we get the new TCM that's unlocked. Mine is the same, 2600 and doesn't come back in till about 3100. Then you could also tighten up the shifts times for quicker shifts, I know Matt could fix that in a trans tune. You hang with those Nickey guess and you'll be in the 10s with ease. Good luck.
