Its the standard Rotofab and I think its doing fine for my power, I didn't go to the big gulp on my 16 until I did the forged short block. I know there were some naysayers that didn't think we could do it and I'll admit I wasn't sure but thought with the track prep and the cooler air and lower DA it was a 90 percent chance we could. However, we never expected to run in the 9.80s.

Thanks for pointing that out so lets look at the comparions.
Fastest on the 2016 with 2300 stock Lt1 long block, stock exhaust, stock A8 except for shift pressures, big bore pump, lt4 injectors, VP Ms109, lots of Meth but I still have my teeth, drag pack and rpm roll bar. I think it weighed about 3850 and we went 10.00@139 on about 17 lbs of boost. Hurt that motor
New forged motor, Livernois Cam, stock heads with big springs 2300, long tubes with cats (for a while), we did the DSS axles, Gforce Aluminum DS, DS loop. On this setup we ran 9.82@139. Same fuels, but added the Lt4 pump with the 38% fuel lobe.
Then went to the 2650 and on a few passes at Gateway we tested in the 9.60s, don't remember the speeds. Went to the Camaro Fest, about killed the motor with clogged up Cats, cut them off and ran 9.60s again. Later on we went to the LS Fest, broke the Gforce DS and luckily a buddy from California had shipped me his DSS chromoly and a set of axles. Little did he or I know I need it that day. Steven Rankin spent 4 hours changing the DS in the pits as I worked the Magnuson trailer. We ended up running 9.41@146 that night.
So we are only a little over 4 tenths off the fastest I had run in the car (it went 9.33@149 with the new owner, he was 60 lbs lighter then me and had a good night of track prep and air)and about 4 mph.

Now its time to pull the plugs and take a look at them. I might as well go ahead and swap some out a step colder with some NGKs and I think I have a set of wires already so might as well add them also. I'll work on that Monday and hopefully we'll see some good color in them, at least that's what I expect to see. Never know but as good as it ran on the 4 passes I'm thinking we are good.

Ls Fest 10.34@135

WWTraceway VP Heads up 9.86@142 was my best pass, running a 5.3 Turbo Silverado. He left on me but I had the power to drive around him pretty quckly

WWTraceway VP Heads up round 1 win against a NOS Mustang with a 5.3 LS based Chevy, caught him right about 1300 ft. It was close

Just pulled all the plugs, they look awesome. Ordered a new set 1 step colder and I'll dial them in about .028 gap. We'll be ready to go again this weekend. Mike has this AFR, Timing and she's ready to go 9.70s if the weather is good. Right now it looks to be about mid 70s so it might be a little tougher to go 9.70 in those temps since the DA will probably be above 1500.

GREAT passes! Nicely done and amazing times for a SBE engine too.

Usually I reach my goal but this time we surpassed it more than we thought we could. We are still fiddling with the tune after each pass, checking everything as close as we can. Remember this is the very first one down the track with the new Reflex controller. Now Nickey Performance has done it with a Zl1 and 2650. They ran in the 9.60s with their cam, heads, etc kit. They didn't have a good prepped track like I did so their results were just barely better then mine but when they get on a good track they'll pick up several tenths cause that car made over 800 rwhp.

Nice runs! Congrats. I sure wish my A8 had that 4-5 shift. Gotta love that.

Yeah, that 10 speed makes my 8 speed feel more like a powerglide.

You know my A8 was like that also, never tuned just shift pressure and we got lucky on this trans as many have had problems with the A10s shifting on time once you apply more power. This one is still stock and doubt I change it since it cost 1000 bucks.

So here is a comparible pass in my 16 ss with a 2300 and A8, this was a 10.13@136 pass at the fest, my mph would have been higher but I didn't get to the MPH line at WOT. Dumbo for sure and barely made it to the Et line.
