Finally got mine done for the time being. Have the topper hydro dipped locally by Raymond's Alignment and RP Custom Finishings. I added some new red LEDs under the cover and did some cutouts to allow the light to shine through.

I lined it with LED strips, ran the wires along the washer hoses and tied them into the control box.

It seems to be doing really well. However, I didn't use the 3M that was on the back of the strips. I used the automotive grade that was a little stronger and its working great.

There are two locations I tap for power for my LED controller. One is off the side marker and the other off the power feed to the fuse box. If you look at the fuse box in the engine bay there is a large cable bolted to it that supplies constant 12v power to it. I usually unscrew the nut holding the cable, then place a wire with a connector on the bottom then reattached the cable and nut. This way the wire and it's connector are hidden underneath the main cable that goes there all while maintaining a constant 12v supply. The reason I do both locations for power is for car shows. I have a secondary two way switch that switches power between the sidemarker and the constant battery. If I'm not at a car show I run my halos off the sidemarker portion. When I got to a show I move the switch to the secondary position and keep a constant 12v going to it for the show. Hope this helps.
