Reviving an old thread because I am just about to restore the rear RS badge to my car and I am wondering about moving it from the stock location. The above illustration was particularly interesting, because that is one of the spots I am looking at after test-fitting an RS emblem in some different locations.

I did a test fit in that general location because I thought it would be a good look as well. The emblem will fit, but I think it ends up being angled too far downward due to the angle of the back of the blade spoiler. If the emblem (or tape backing) could be made wider at the bottom, so that the emblem displayed more squarely to the rear, that might make for a better look at that location.

Glen E also did the dash thing - but I think I prefer your positioning with the emblem above the stitches.

Good point. The rear badge is in a weird spot and the dash as shown above makes way more sense. No real need for an SS badge in the rear.

Need some thread expertise. Local dealer parts guys not much help. Does anyone know the difference between satin black stripes and carbon flash (NOT carbon flash metallic) stripes? I currently have spider stripes in satin, want to replace with rally stripes and it appears the color for ‘19-22 MY is carbon flash. Before I order, want to know what that finish looks like. Also want to keep the existing (satin black) deck lid stripe as long as it won’t clash with new carbon flash rally stripes. Online photos of no help. Need someone who is familiar with carbon flash stripes to describe please. Thanks in advance.

I moved mine to the trunk lid. I never liked it floating out there on the rear bumper. The trunk lid is the more traditional place for it.

That spot, or just above it (right under my blade spoiler), is what I have settled on as well! I just need to decide whether I prefer the emblem above or below that line on the trunk lid. Here's an example of the alternate position that I found in another forum post:

little tough to see from that picture, but it almost looks like it was sized specifically to fit that upper ridge line of the trunk.

also, really digging the look of the badge on the dash by the passenger vent.

i love the passenger vent location enough to want one both on the trunk lid AND the passenger dash.

Ok, I did it...

I also swapped out the front RS for a matching stick-on emblem.

When I was trying to figure out if the black plastic piece in the front grille could be popped out, the red RS emblem (with the two pins in the back) just slid right off! Easier than I expected - but I'm not sure those front emblems are supposed to come off that easily.
