I bought a scrub set of R7’s long ago - fronts were ok, rears were junk, though both looked good. I just mounted my first sticker set of R7’s. We will see how addictive they are at that price point.

Nick, on your R7’s, you buying them heat cycled, or do you do the heat cycling and wait a week as recommended by Hoosier, or just hammer on stickers til they hear cycle out or cord? I’ve seen all of the above be proclaimed as “correct” with R7’s.

Well, speaking of price, my addiction led to dedicated track car, trailer and hauler for a few years

Well, then all ya need to decide is if faster laptimes are worth tripling a tire budget for
Afterall, we all have different criteria for fun-o-meter per dollar spent. And different goals as drivers.
Word of caution: stay away from Michelin slicks: they can really corrupt! Cheers!

I'm just continuing to have fun, learn, tweak on the car, and get smoother and quicker along with my two young sons who are drving the car, too. I have no interest in slicks, new or used. In fact, it's been nice just leaving the trailer in the garage and driving to the track on the Goodyears. I know it heat cycles them, but, not that worried about it. It's even better when you're quicker in a SS 1LE on Goodyears than lots of "quicker" cars that show up trailered on slicks.

You’ll spend your retirement savings on them as they’re probably that good!
