I've seen tires go down and wheels come off, but never a blow out. Having said that, this doesnt mean it cant happen. I suppose it depends if cords have been damaged, or just showing, etc. Clearly a risk of failure would be increased if the cords would continue to get damaged. Ive driven on a corded tire before, to finish a day, but personally i prefer not to push my luck. Especially on a fast track with high loads. But i know folks who have driven on corded tires without even realizing it. One more reason to check their condition frequently. Ditto brake pads and such.

The triangles point to the wear bars. They have no other purpose.

Man you really really really tee'd this one up for me. Unless you think my 2 different posts are the same tires. They aren't, so no I drive directly home on a corded tire as soon as it's noticed.

It was a general question, not specific to your pics, but TRACKCLUB answered my question, thanks.

Ty!! I been doing a ton of driving so have been limited on here, why the delay on this. Was my first time, and I will definitely be back!! lol The family loved the "New Village". The track WAS bags of bags of fun, and the weather worked out in the end. Only complaint is I wish they would allow race tracks to be race tracks, the sound restrictions kill me!!! There was also a ZLE there too, a "local" to the track I presume. Even offered me to take his car when I asked for a ride with him to see how it "felt" being the track monster that it is. I respectfully turned that offer down, and never aligned to get that ride, as he was a student. Hope to someday have my own though!! No plans in play to go back just yet, but maybe will get to meet you there next time

Nice! Glad youve enjoyed yourself and yes the whole area is quite a place! I always go in Aug with Quebec BMW club for 2 days. They run a great event and are super friendly. All makes are welcomed too. FYI there is another great track fairly close by, in Calabogie. Long venue, 20 turns. Also worth a trip. But not very family friendly as it is just a tiny village on a lake. Unless one likes to golf In any case, hope to run into ya one of these days. Cheers!

Agree. I usually end up running to the bottom of the GoodYear symbol (a winged shoe)
