I never saw Motortrend do an actual figure 8 for the ZLE, just an estimate of 23.0, which I think is low considering the ZL1 did it in 23.1 and the skip pad numbers are substantially different between those cars.

I also appreciate the advice, and as I've said in the past, I have no plans to switch from the G3's this year, maybe next year at the earliest, however I'm always interested in which tires are the best and why and what options I have in the future down the road.
Well, when the mags get the cars there is no guarantee the tires will be brand new. So perhaps that's why results may vary. Plus different conditions, time, etc.

Bottom line, even stock G3s are damn amazingly fast tire. Of course everything being equal, G3R will be faster.
But how much faster depends on driver skill (all else being equal). So one person can lower their laptime by say a second, while somebody else will get 3 or 4 seconds. Keep that in mind when you hunt for comparison stats feedback Cheers!
