I suppose I'm one of the fortunate ones that still "rolls their own", so ammo availability hasn't been too much of an issue. I've been handloading/reloading for years, and now my hobby that makes me look like a mad scientist sometimes seems to be paying off a bit. I will say that components (powder, projectiles, and primers) have been scarce though.

I've heard this is the root of all the ammo issues, component supply.

Primers are the main culprit IIRC.

i like the HELLCAT but i kinda need to after spending 535 for it.
i like the sight picture.it's has little as in very little more recoil impulse like almost impossible to tell than the sig 365 and the 365XL that i shot today and being a micro compact with more capacity than the sig i will take the extra rounds the hellcat has to offer. the 365's ship with 2 10 round mags the cat has a 11 and a 13.
i have hand my hands on quite a few handguns in the past and today, the first shots i was thinking the cat was kinda like a glock23 but then i shot a 23 right behind the it the cat is not as bad as the 23.
also IMO glocks are overrated i kinda have alot of experience with them i have owned a G30,G26,G23,G43 and 3 G19's so no 48 or 48x
if you are thinking about getting a hellcat go ahead pull the trigger. both the 365 and the CAT are great firearms you can't go wrong either way i found them for around the same price.if you are a sig guy get the sig but if your just a gun guy the springfield is the way to go.
if you have limited funds the TARUS G2C i shot is a great lower price option it's not just a good gun for the money it's just a decent all around gun.
that's my take your mileage may vairy.

I had an XDs 9 which was decent, may pick up a hellcat when some of the insanity wanes a bit.

Ammo seems to be slowly coming back.

One of my favorites was an XD Mod2 sub-compact .45.
9+1 or 13+1 but I would use an XDM 10 round for 10+1 instead of the 9 round. Gives you a little more to hang on to with the pinky. Seemed to fit perfect 3 o'clockish IWB.

Only conventional Sig pistol I've owned was the P229 in .40sw when they first came out. It was replacing a Glock G22 .40sw, the only Glock I'll ever own.

The P229 was a good pistol, I just dumped .40 from my inventory.

Does anyone have a TL;DR with what's going on with Remington? I know the holding company went bankrupt and split up/sold to other manufacturers, but who got the 870 line? Damn near impossible to get parts right now.

There's the seven buyers but I can't find anything that says specifically who bought Remingtons shotgun line. Roundhill Group bought the factory the 870 is made in so most likely them.

i didn't mean to to a sig springfield comparison but as it turns out they have the two micro's with the highest capacity in the same price range.the h-cat is my first and only springfield. i think they make a quality products but i like others more and don't need or want 20 handguns. i sold off all the glocks except for one g19 and got S&W's to replace them. as of now we are still "mostly free" plus being AMERICA we have almost endless handgun choices. one more time- FREEDOM!!!

I have chance to hold side-by-side the Helcat and 365XL and chose the XL. It was a little more complicated than that...the 365 had the RMR mounted and the hellcat was the FDE/Sand colored version so of the two at that moment...I went Sig and found out that I don't like the RMR/Red Dot. At all.
I do like the Sig's though, I picked up the M18 a few months back and it was my first Sig, love that gun. Put the Wilson Combat grip module on it this month.

Why do you not like the red dot?

After you learn not to focus on the iron sights, red dot shooting will get much easier.

A thing I learned from Sig (I was at a Sig shooting school) is when you are shooting a red dot pistol is to focus on the target, not the dot. I was making one handed 25 yard shots right and left handed with both a 320 and a P365XL at will.

I ended up buying 2 P365XLs with Romeo Zero red dots afterwards.
