The lightest wheels that you can find of course will have to be Forged, there's no way around it other than Carbon fiber wheels which will cost a substantial amount of money. The Forged wheels we manufacture here are of the highest quality, strongest and lightest possible that you can find in the market, but the no-compromise type of quality and design comes at a no-compromise price as well.

To give you some examples, here are some of the wheels we've weighed in the last few months (note all these weights are approximate since they can very depending on offset/backspacing):

20x10 Wheels:
HRE P101 - 20.80lbs
HRE P104 - 21.00lbs
HRE Classic 303 - 23.00lbs

20x11 Wheels:
HRE P101 - 22.00lbs
HRE P103 - 22.60lbs
HRE P104 - 22.50lbs

For those who are looking for track set up's, we have 19" wheels that dip into the 18lbs range quite frequently, but it all starts with quality aluminum, high-quality machining equipment and a no-compromise attitude towards making wheels.

I really like the Interlagos. About $300-375 each. I am thinking of trying to put together a 19" fitment. Simple and elegant. But the MRR M228s are growing on me.

I have a pair of RF 18x9.5" TSW Nurburgrings for my DRs. Quality for the $$.

TSW Rotary Forged Interlagos:

Size/Weight
19x8/20.9 lbs
19x8.5/21.15 lbs
19x9/21.45 lbs
19x9.5/21.55 lbs
19x10.5/23.9 lbs
20x8.5/22.25 lbs
20x9/23.85 lbs
20x9.5/23.6 lbs
20x10/24.45 lbs
20x10.5/26.45 lbs

Just slammed on these:

MRR FS01 Flow Forged:
Front 20x10 23.5 lbs
Rear 20x11 25 lbs

Looking like I saved almost 40lbs of weight total with going 285 / 305 withthe MRR FS01's setup. I had the 5 split spoke black OEM rims previously.

Isn't there a formula for the theoretical weight savings due to the reduced rotating mass?

Something like 4x the weight. So if you saved an average of 10lbs a wheel, it would be like reducing 40lbs of weight on each corner.
That might be enough to feel it in your " Butt-o-Meter ".
Increased brake feel, better feedback from the suspension, etc.

Or maybe I just read to much.

You're on the right track but the theoretical weight savings you speak of depends on the exact weight of the car if you want the math to be right as well since the formula you're thinking of has to compare the sprung vs unsprung weight. You can get a good ballpark for that but you're definitely on the right track.

Rotational mass, which centrifugal force corresponds with has a significant roll in this as well, which is why we offer things like titanium ARP wheel fasteners for 3 piece wheels to keep the very outside edges of the wheel as light as possible to keep that down.

I have your HRE 3 piece forged wheels : 560R
How much weight saving would I expect by changing the 42 ARP wheel fasteners to Titanium ?

Im not aware that TSW makes the Interlagos in correctly fitting sizes for Camaro...

I'm looking at TSW Bathurst, another one of their rotary forged wheels. In 19's they are low 20-lbs, not super expensive and look nice. The S550 guys are able to fit them over their 14" and 15" calipers, so there shouldn't be interferance issues there.

Should make for a good FS setup.

Looks like TSW only has a limited option of sizes for the Interlagos.

Here is the Bathurst through TSW's vehicle configurator:

and Geneva (another RF option):

The Interlagos comes in a perfect fitment for factory tires or 255/40 & 285/35
20 x 9" 20 offset
20 x 10" 35 offset

OK! I'm not well versed in what can fit and/or look good fitment wise on these cars yet. But I've always LOVED the Interlagos. I just wish they made some more sizes in 19's. Almost bought a set for my Mustang (actually bought two and had to wait for the other two to be manufactured, took too long and bought something else).

I'd love to see these on a 6th Gen Camaro!

3x harder to accelerate a rotating mass.
