ZL1 6 pots on my SS. Paint calipers or leave as is?

I saw these ZL1 calipers and rotors on Craigslist and ended up buying them. I like the silver calipers but I'm not sure about the ZL1 on there. They are in good shape so I hate to repaint them. Should I leave them alone or paint them to cover up the "ZL1"?

It's really up to you if you if I had them I would repaint them to gloss black depending on your color combo of your car.

Yeah I was thinking gloss black too because my car is white with black but since I have black wheels I thought the silver would be a nice contrast. I need to find a set of ZL1/CTS-V rear brakes too.

I would, even just for the simple fact that they are off and so easily painted. But also just to get the zl-1 off. I could just imagine how many times I'd be asked, " that's a zl-1?".

And those are sweet, how much? If you don't mind me asking.

My thoughts exactly especially since I have a ZL1 spoiler and rockers. These rotors are 390mm and are almost 2" bigger than the standard SS rotors. They really fill out the wheel and the 2 piece rotors look nice as well. I ended up paying $700. He was asking $1000. I figured that was a good deal even if I have to repaint them.

If it was me I would find the matching duplicolor caliper paint and just paint that face of the caliper where the ZL1 logo is. Then once done put you some new logo's of some sort on the face of the calipers.

Will those bolt right up to an SS and clear SS factory wheels? Will the lines work?

Wow, worth every penny! I'm sure they will be awesome and I've used g2 caliper paint and it came out awesome. I had painted the calipers red on my camry( I know I know lol) and they looked great. Had the car for 4 years, and sold her. 3 years later I saw her and her new owner...calipers still looked great, I was impressed. Or go balls out and powder coat, either way you got some great brakes, please post what you do, I really would love to see.

These are 6th Gen ZL1. If I have time I will install them today.

They bolt right up. Nothing else needed. I'm not sure if they will clear the factory SS wheels. I have the 1LE replicas, 20x10, 20x11 and they fit. I bolted up one side to make sure everything was good.
