The ZLE driver looked like he cocked up the launch. Hennessey himself said in another video that his Escalade was good for low 12 second passes, so the ZLE should've been ahead at the end.

Yeah that Escalade with its 4 wheel drive and 800 hp will run off and leave the 1LE off the line everytime. The Escalade according to Hennessey will run 11.7

I'm seeing that video i quoted him from is more than a year old. My bad. He must have gotten a better run out of it since then because his prior run had a 3.9 0-60 time, and now he's knocked that down to 3.7 and the 11.7 quarter you mentioned. Outstanding for sure.

Mine Bone Stock does 11.40 all day... 11.9 was my slowest pass ever in this car even Bone Stock... Give me some drag radials and he would get dusted.

If the guy could drive the ZL1 it would have been a better race..

Put the guy in the Cadillac in the ZL1 and the ZL1 driver in the Cadillac and the Cadillac would loose...

O I agree the race would of been much closer if it was a ZL1 with the auto and would of beat the escalade by a few car lengths at the 1/4 mile. Even off the line the Escalade would of gotten the jump on him. That thing was moving! But with the manual 1LE I’m afraid he would get beat like that 9 times out of 10.

Okay, calm down everyone. Your precious Zl1 1LE lost ONE race to a fully built, 800 HP Escalade. Quit acting like the 1LE is a drag queen. It's not. Now, put both vehicles on VIR or any other road course of your choosing and it will be an absolute slaughter fest.
