Seat cushion comfort

I have a 2017 2LT with leather seats. I know that these seats are more of the bucket variety but what can I do to fix the fact that the sides of the seat are pushing into my legs and hips. It's annoying during long drives. I've used a pillow and towel to try to level the raised sides but it doesn't help or creates other discomfort like the back of my knees not being supported. Anyone know of a fix?

THIS! I thought I was the only one having this issue. Everyone seems to rave about how comfortable the 6th Gen seats are...the seats in my 5th Gen were orders of magnitude moreover comfortable! I do think the 6th Gen seats are superior for track driving, but not great for long distance drives, which I do more than tracking it.

Any help out here?

Excuse me for this question but what is you weight and size? I sit perfect with perfect side support as well as leg/knee support. I could sit for hours without getting tired or having pain. I am 170lbs and 5,77

I find the seats to be great. Just have to get myself centered on the seat.

I'm 5'5" and 160. I'm a small dude so how is this not an issue for more people? Maybe it's because I commute a long way for work.

This shows everyone has different preferences.

To me, the seats in our '17 2SS are much more comfortable than the seats in our previous '11 2SS.
After a 2 hour drive in the 5th Gen, I had to get out and walk around some.
I don't have that issue with the 6th Gen.

If you think the lower seat cushion bolsters are uncomfortable in a Camaro, try sitting in a. C7 Corvette. A popular mod on the Corvette forum is to remove the seat cover and drill a grid of holes in the foam bolster(s). The hole number, pattern, and size can be varied to decrease the firmness of the cushion. It works really well and doesn’t mess up the look of the seat. It doesn’t take a lot of holes to soften the bolster, so be conservative to start with. An auto upholstery shop can do this for you.

5'8 140 and I find the seats super comfortable, better than a lot of cars out there.

Im 5'10" and 178 lbs. Generally considered slender. I really do find the side bolsters a bit uncomfortable.

Try to find the best position. I think it is almost impossible not to find the right position. I started from my standard sit position which I use in other cars. Than inch by inch adjusting the steering wheel hight and distance. Than the seat hight and distance as well as the back rest inclination. Each adjustment I used for several days / weeks and now I found my position.

Yeah, this I have from time to time as well on the left side but than I just turn my leg and it’s gone.

I'm 5'-10" 185. The Recaro seat really sucks D in the 1LE.
Damn, my 2012 Grand Sport Corvette has more room for your ass.

Did you not try before you bought.....?

They're the perfect size for someone of a built nature. Not too small, not too big. Comfortable as hell but also hold me well too. At least, for my size they are great.
