RacingBrake Rotors

Just wanted to say I received my full set of RacingBrake Rotors and pads today. Fitment was great. Easy install. Saved 13.4 lbs of rotating weight on my 2016 SS Camaro. Shipping was quick, 4 days. The guys always answer the phone and emails. They also give a military discount which I received. Recommend these if you want better stopping power, lighter rotating weight and great looks to boot. PM me any questions you may have about my install.

Stephen

Nice weight savings. I have 19s on my car and these might be a nice addition. What did it all cost you?

Did you paint the yellow calipers yourself (if so which paint) or send them out for power coating? Looks nice.

With shipping and my 5% military discount was $1881 total. I keep my car clean and these really stand out compared to stock rotors.

Yes I painted them myself. VHT SP738. Good sand before hand. Several coats, 4 I think. Also used the VHT Clear after I put the Brembo decals on which I got off amazon for $10. Very time consuming but cheap. Be patient and let each coat dry before the next. And I’ve received a lot of compliments on them.

Pics of rotor break in

Here’s a few pics during break in on the rotors. They look nice after break in and stand out more.

You plan on tracking the car? I would love to see how the VHT would hold up to extreme temp. I've used it before but never tracked the car.

Not that we are lazy...
Can you provide part numbers for what you ordered?

Thanks

They do sell several upgrade kits but I chose the kit to keep my stock SS Brembo calipers. Front rotors are part 2535, Rear 2505 and the kit with their pads is GM-IRK-12. Quick and easy swap. The only note is that the Front stock brembo pistons must be fully recessed if you use their new pads. So prep the caliper before you try and slide the new pads in.

This compact, effective, easy to use, and low cost ratchet piston spreader has our recommendation.
