Constraints may prevent your order from being picked up. But also does your dealer have an allocation to apply your order against? It takes both an order with no constraints and a dealer allocation before you will see your order picked up.

Dealer just called me and no 2 SS available nationwide. Bummer. So now he has to order something or lose allocation but since they do not sell many he does not know when he will get another allocation. Do I go somewhere else. That Naperville dealer is not far away.

Buck50 Your so right just check with my dealer up here again. He basically said the same thing he has orders for 10 Camaros and the rep. can't get any orders in to Chevy. He's said more parts shortages form outside suppliers is the problem now. If nothing happens by April 8, I'll make my order for a 2023 same stuff just a new year.

You should question that - see Joe's comment that 43 2SS's available this week. Post #64548, if this link doesn't bring you right to it.

Edit to add: a few posts lower, Joe confirmed those 43 are all coupes, so if you order is for a convertible than your dealers info is accurate.

He can order a Camaro just not the 2SS that you want. 2SS is constrained on this order cycle if I recall correctly. So you order a car that he's been allocated, or you keep waiting.

Just spoke with my sales manager and we have constraints on the 2ss, zl1 with and without extreme track performance, v6, and 3lt. National quantity 2ss is 19, zl1 with 1, zl1 without 24, v6 24, 3lt is 19. This was for the production period 2/21 - 2/27

thinking about doing the same thing, hell of it is i am 70, hate to lose a year! getting frustrating, work all these years and can't even spend the money!

Think i will contact some big dealers who sell a lot of Camaroes. They should have more allocations so that when the 2SS converibles are availabe again I will be right in line. Do you guys think this is an option if I sign an order and give them money? Never been in situation like this and I learn more from this blog than I do from my dealer!

Yes, big camaro dealer will be given more allocations than a small one. However, question hard to get answer to is how many orders do they have ahead of yours to apply to their allocations. I placed deposit for 2022 2SS with medium size dealer in Sept. 2021 just moved to 3400 and given TPW of 1/31/2022 early this week. So it will be for me about 5 months deposit to delivery. Kind of what I expected.
