My kit went to Phastek, repackaged into smaller boxes so it could be sent through APO, and still seems like it arrived over here in just a few weeks. But they are also quick to help with adjusting the tune. Great guys to work with. Highly recommend!

We have a file, just as we do for the vettes, trucks, etc.

However, GM has put in a locking method into the ECU.
This method is specific to each VIN #, not just model year.
(Ford will be swapping to this as well soon)

So right now we are working with two companies, to try and make this unlocking process something that can be done for average customers.

Right now, if a customer works with a shop, and HPTuners.
They can tune the cars like normal with a custom tune via HPtuners.

I will update the board when the day comes for a handheld option.
I assure you many are working on it. Since this doesn't just effect us, but ANYONE that want's to do any sort of calibration change on these cars.

Thanks for the question!
Erik
So not available for the 2017?

They just don't have the ability to send you their tune the way they can with the '16. So it really depends on what kit you want. If you want a D1, they don't have the tune for it, so you end up needing to have a custom tune anyway.

FWIW, I only went with their tune since I plan on going on Power Tour, and I don't know what fuel will be available. ProCharger's tune is good with 91 but I have 93 where I live. I'd hate to tune for 93 and then run into detonation if there's only 91 available on the tour.

Oh so I can get the P1 stock 7 psi boost kit with the canned tune? If a more aggressive tune is needed I'd just take it to a dyno tune anyway.

They don't have the canned tune for the '17. Each pcm has its own specific encryption from what it sounds like. So you'd just have to buy the Tuner kit, and then have it tuned by a local shop. I have a '16, and apparently this new style encryption has started with the '17's.

We are still our normal 5-10 business days from the time the dealer places order with us. ..... just like the others have talked about in this thread.

(Some have got them as fast as 4-5, even including shipping)
