I ordered mine on Tuesday from Chad.....I'm hoping it's in the mail by next Tuesday. That means it should be in my hands by Friday! I'm a bit excited. Once it gets here it's a weekend worth of install then I can re-up the insurance and drive it!

"Figure OUT" isn't really the correct term.

We have a file, just as we do for the vettes, trucks, etc.

However, GM has put in a locking method into the ECU.
This method is specific to each VIN #, not just model year.
(Ford will be swapping to this as well soon)

So right now we are working with two companies, to try and make this unlocking process something that can be done for average customers.

Right now, if a customer works with a shop, and HPTuners.
They can tune the cars like normal with a custom tune via HPtuners.

I will update the board when the day comes for a handheld option.
I assure you many are working on it. Since this doesn't just effect us, but ANYONE that want's to do any sort of calibration change on these cars.

Thanks for the question!
Erik

Everything they do is fast!
My kit went to Phastek, repackaged into smaller boxes so it could be sent through APO, and still seems like it arrived over here in just a few weeks. But they are also quick to help with adjusting the tune. Great guys to work with. Highly recommend!

Paying for the install is over rated. I did mine in the garage. Started Tuesday night when I got it. Unpackaged everything, verified it against the packing list. Pulled the tune and sent it off to ProCharger. Then jacked up the car, and started disassembly. Got everything torn apart that first night, and spent 2 hours total in the garage. Wednesday I started reassembly. Had the bracket on and most of the part relocation done that night. Again, 2 hours in the garage. Thursday I finished everything, programmed the car, and fired it up. Had to move the trailer to get the car out and went for a quick spin. Total time 4 hours Thursday night.

Biggest trick is using a bit of heat on the balancer bolt to get it to break loose.

The instructions are top notch, so there's no worry about messing something up.

All said and done it was 8 hours and I'm thoroughly enjoying the whistle!

To answer your question though, I wouldn't be surprised at $1,000 install prices.

How much heat did you have to use?
