Supercharger question

As of now my 2019 camaro ss a10 is basically stock (just an axle back exhaust), I’m looking into supercharging it, would it be safe to just straight up add the supercharger to a completely stock ss? Or should I be upgrading certain things before adding the supercharger?

You’ll find most of us will recommend upgrading your fueling at the same time. All of the typical players (Maggie, Whipple, etc) all say you can run their blower with the stock fuel system, but you’ll have maxed it out and not be able to go any further until you do upgrade it. So, LT4 in tank low pressure pump, LT4 high pressure pump, and LT4 injectors are kind of the minimum you want to do.

Thanks for the input, what kind of dyno numbers would a supercharger alone make?

Most every manufacturer will advertise 550-600 RWHP with a stock engine.

Been runing a p1sc procharger on a other wise completly stock 19. made 570 wheel. No need to do anything to the fuel, if their was then procharger would recmond it and they dont. I can guarentee procharger and the rest of the manafactures have done lots of testing on their products. How many blown engenies from runing the base programs from these manfactures are out their. I have found none, but maybe they are out their.I will listen to them before anyone else...
On my sons challenger their kit comes with injectors. why because it needs them. If you want to make alot more power than base kits then yes some kind of fueling upgrades will be nessary, depending.

You’re missing the point. You cannot go any higher now until you upgrade fuel, and it’s easier to do when you’ve got the car apart for the blower anyway (especially a PD blower). You also cannot run E85, leaving another 25-30 HP on the table (more at higher HP levels).

550-600ish is what we have found to be the 93 Octane Gasoline safe limit of the stock LT1 fuel system.
